I had a big breakfast. I'll with the latter.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Let Ben play his brand of football and then judge him on how he performs. It's not fair to ask a QB with 12 TD's in 2 games to go back to ball control, dink and dunk that WASN'T working this year.

We put Ben in a position to have to save us from ourselves instead of letting him continue to go down field.

My problem with Tomlin and Haley in the Jets game is we shut down our passing attack before the Jets had a chance to prove they could do it.

It is absolutely fair...he gets paid a lot of money to execute a game plan and not turn the ball over...

Ben is on board with Haley's play calling...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Sometimes a QB throws a bad INT or a DB makes a great play on the ball.

Ben may be on board but that doesn't mean the plays are going to result in TD's and W's.

Ask any HOFer QB to throw 8 passes behind ot at the LOS to start a game and see how productive they are...

How is throwing 43 times and running 17 times considered shutting down our passing attack?

Wow, did the Pats' game ever make this post on cue or what? They did exactly what I said they do: kept the gas pedal floored! Brady and Belichick did it again - they always do. Once again they are one of the best teams in the NFL, AGAIN! They simply are smarter than the rest of the league. You will never see them post a 1-8 record against sub .200 teams, ever.

I should have been clearer... I mean the passing attack of the previous 2 weeks that went down field.

They ran the ball 45 times and passed 30 times. If the Steelers did that, it would be called Turtle Ball, Marty Ball, Cowher Ball, Still Living in the 70's 3-Yards-And-A-Cloud-Of-Dust Bygone Era instead of the Modern-Day Passing NFL. But instead it's genious.

Not sure that is a fair assessment. The Pats went with what was working. When your running game is running at 5.2 a clip, you run the ball. It's considered Marty or Cowher ball when you are doing it over and over again when it's not working.

They put up 42 points, caving their skulls in. If the run is working, and you are smashing their grills in, then you do it. They found yet ANOTHER no name running back to get the job done. Belichick knew Indy was susceptible to the power rushing game (he crushed them with it last play offs) and formed a great game plan to take advantage of it, but it's not like they didn't also keep throwing it as well. You want to start trying to criticize Belichick's ability to game plan, and you're gonna be up way past your bed time.

Shawn is right again. When you punk them, beating them by 22 and scoring 42, I'd say claiming they were playing "turtle ball" is beyond ignorant. No one who actually understands that term would ever say that was a game of turtle ball. They were not only destroying them with running the ball, but continued to score all game long. That is NOT turtle ball. Turtle ball is endlessly running up the middle but not moving the chains or scoring in the hopes that a 3 point lead will hold up. Belichick has NEVER called plays in such a manner.

They are 1-2 in SBs over the last ten years...ask the same question next season, and it will, at best, still be 1-2...at worst 0-2...
