Lewis didn't get turned around. The only reason why he had so many pass defended (the stat everyone seem to use to praise him) was because teams threw at him so much and he was bound to stumble into some PD. He was average at best as a 2nd CB. He then went and proved that in NO. He wasn't worth the contract he got from NO nor the praise from many on message boards. Too many times I watched WR separate with ease against him. He wasn't a liability but he wasn't anywhere near a Pro Bowl corner either.

I don't think that decent play from Antwon Blake turns into a rousing commendation.
He was a big part of turning around Keenan Lewis from a bust into very good corner. Willie Gay has also blossomed into a competent NFL player under his watch. No argument on the safeties - we need to see more from Mitchell and Thomas.

No. He has started at corner for the last 2 years after starting at safety and the tape matches the measurables according to the scouting reports I've read and the youtube videos I've watched.

Sorry, but his "tape" are against powerhouses like Stoney Brook and Temple. He is long and rangy with good instincts but lacks man to man cover skills. Second round safety prospect, if they take him in the first with the intentions of making him a CB I quit

I'd say that Lewis' was more of a mental turnaround than a physical turnaround. His attitude kept getting him in trouble, like when he found the doghouse after punching out some glass in the pre-season one year. He needed to mature, and I still believe that the team let him walk for that reason. Remember, the team knew what they had and still allowed him to walk.

NFL scouts consider him to be a 1st round corner prospect and he looked very good against #15 Michigan and #18 E. Carolina.

We'll probably just have to agree to disagree regarding Byron Jones, but I would be doing backflips across my living room if Shane Ray fell to the Steelers and they pulled the trigger.
