I'm confusedYep, just an opinion. Waynes to me is too skinny. Obviously Jones is not just my opinion.

Steelers take Byron Jones at #22
Take Owa Ody at #56--this would be Christmas for me
Take Anthony Harris, S from Virginia in Round 3
Which one of those guys is a TE?
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.
but Go Steelers!!!

Some of you guys are funny. Just because Jones is not rated as high as Waynes you make fun of the pick? How about Sherman going in the 4th rd. Or Ike and thousands of other great players not that "great" in college. Does not matter were you go in the draft. It matters what they do once in the NFL. But I never like the talking heads draft picks for the Steelers.
Not the players just who they put in the Steelers draft slot. Not sure if they have ever picked it right for the Steelers. At least in the first round. Maybe Pouncey? That was a no brainer for that draft I think.

Great nfl players that slipped in the draft slipped for a reason. Same with great nfl players that went very high in the draft, they were selected there for a reason. Some of you guys are funny. High picks can suck and low picks can transcend their draft status and become great. Byron jones, right now is a very risky first round pick. Nothing he does supports taking him over a number of other corners who also tested well and backed it up on the field
I feel like this year in particular is weird because they could go about 10 different ways in the first roundComment

Well I tend to agree at this point on Jones. But what about guys who excel from a lower divisions and still get drafted high? There competition was not the same even though they played "great" and can be great in the NFL. Just the way I see it guys. All the kids coming into the NFL are a gamble. Some play greater then there draft pick some do not. There is some type of projection no matter what. The teams do there home work and hope they pick right even if the player is a gamble for a million different reasons. Think the Steelers thought Worilds would only play 5 years and retire when they drafted him as an example.Comment

Pittsburgh Steelers:
4/27: Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said that the edge rushers in this draft are as good a group as he has seen in last 10 to 15 years.
4/24: The Chiefs and Steelers are the only teams not to use a first-round pick on a cornerback since 1998. - Ray Fittipaldo, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
