CB from Oregon blew is his knee out

We wouldn't have a shot at him, but may push someone else up

Hope the 1st two picks are CB/S if the value is there

Sucks for Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, but maybe this means that we could get a first round talent like IEO in the 3rd round now. He'll miss the Senior Bowl and the Combine and his stock will therefore drop, but with medicine today, an ACL tear in December should be good to go for the most part the following September.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

maybe a lot like Aaron Colvin who we could have selected instead of Dri Archer. I watched him play last night in the Jaguar's victory and he made 7 tackles and looked really good...

After a lot of hard work, big payoff for Jaguars rookie Aaron Colvin

By Vito Stellino Sun, Nov 30, 2014

Aaron Colvin (59) and Ryan Davis (22) scramble to pick up a fumble by the Giants' Larry Donnell in the fourth quarter. Colvin picked up the ball and ran it in for a touchdown.

When Jaguars rookie Aaron Colvin scooped up a fourth-quarter fumble by New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell and ran 41 yards for his first touchdown since high school, he just dropped the ball in the end zone.

Then he did a version of the dance Sen’Derrick Marks does after a sack and went to the sideline.

“I wasn’t really thinking about getting the ball,” Colvin said. “When I’m in the zone, I’m in the zone. I’m just trying to play football. I don’t care about accolades and getting footballs and all those things. I’m just helping the team win.’’

One of the Jaguars’ equipment guys retrieved the ball and gave it to him after the game. Colvin put it in his locker and said he will give it to his mother, who lives in Tulsa, Okla.

“It’s going to be in my mom’s living room,’’ he said.

Colvin’s touchdown was the Jaguars’ second defensive score of the game — a first in team history. Linebacker J.T. Thomas scored in the third quarter when he fell on the ball in the end zone after a sack.

Colvin’s touchdown, after his hit flipped Donnell and Dwayne Gratz punched the ball out, gave the Jaguars a 22-21 lead. They would need a late Josh Scobee field goal to win it, 25-24.

It was a moment to savor for Gratz, too, because he had been burned the last two games by the Cowboys’ Dez Bryant and the Colts’ T.Y. Hilton.

“AC went low so I figured he secured the tackle and I’d definitely go for the ball and I punched it out,’’ Gratz said. “It was a great feeling because we needed a play like that. When that happens, it sparks the whole team.’’

Coach Gus Bradley told his players at halftime when they were down, 21-3: “Let’s create a story. It’s chapter three right now.’’

Colvin scored a touchdown in only his second NFL game and completed a remarkable comeback after he tore an ACL in a Senior Bowl practice while playing for the Jaguars’ coaching staff.

Colvin was projected a first or second-round pick from Oklahoma, where he started 35 of 36 games.

But the injury dropped him to the fourth round where the Jaguars decided to take a risk, figuring he would provide value though unlikely to play the first half of the season.

“That play just kind is kind of symbolic of my whole life and this whole process of me getting here,’’ Colvin said. “I was still going to the ball. Still coming back every day and rehabbing, doing all those things to get back on the field. I had to make a decision (after suffering the injury), was I going to lay down or was I going to keep going. I knew when I came back, I wanted to be better than ever. Don’t prove people wrong, prove them right. There are still some days when I’m kind of mad I went in the fourth round. I’m just trying to play fast and do the things the coaches ask me to.’’

“It’s a great deal for him,’’ Bradley said. “He’s got a good feel and he’s still learning what we do scheme-wise defensively. The only way he’s going to learn faster is by playing. Things like that play show that even though he’s learning, he still plays fast.’’

Colvin said he didn’t revel in the moment after he got to the sidelines.

“It felt good to get the score,’’ Colvin said. “But at the same time I was trying to get the win. I knew I couldn’t relax. I had to go out there and keep going. All the celebrating I did was in the end zone.’’

I like Holliman. A ball hawk safety would be a nice addition. I haven't really looked at the 2015 draft yet but on paper that looks like a decent pick. Anything that gets Mike Mitchell off the field is a good move.
          Trolls are people too.

I don't know much about the Jaguars, but I know that Colvin is a CB, and corners don't wear #59. You'd think the writer with a team roster in front of him would know that as well.

... who is a poor tackler, doesn't do well in run support and is often out of position... the Card fan passes on this one.. Granted, he's a first year starter (behind Calvin Pryor last year), but... meh...

Colvin is 22, davis is 59. he just typed them backwards.

BFD!! He has 14 picks this season. He sure isnt allergic to the ball. And that is a result of being out of position often then as a coach I'd give him the green light to free lance all day long.

actually, to the Steelers not being able or willing to tackle is a BFD. no thanks...

Junior Gerod Holliman (6-0, 201) of Louisville has an incredible total of 14 interceptions.

"He needs to go back to school," said one scout. "He's horrible. He can't make a tackle to save his life. He's got pretty good instincts but he's not that athletic."

I don't know if that is necessarily true...

If that were the case, we wouldn't lead the NFL in pick 6s...

Also, William Gay wouldn't have looked so silly against the Titans...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Blake says it's at least partially so. I.e. that in many coverages that are called, they are instructed to tackle the catch. I kinda believe him.

In many coverages...so, are there teams that never tackle the catch?
