Only able to afford 1 more loss and make play offs

Of course we don't know for sure yet, but it is starting to look like 10 wins will leave some teams out of the post season in the AFC. Sitting at 6-4, it is possible that more than one more loss will knock us out of the play offs. That is why you don't lose to teams like the Bucs and Jets. Of course, if we do go 10-6 and miss the play offs, everyone's job will be safe. And, knowing how abysmal Tomlin is at winning vs. the very worst teams, we are in real danger of missing the play offs for 3 years in a row. I don't know if we even did that in the 80's. Looking at how we have left on the schedule, none of us can be confident we make the postseason.

8:30PMEST + AT TITANS - one of the worst teams in the NFL, so of course we could lose with Tomlin as our coach.

13 NOV 30 1:00PMEST ) SAINTS - Could lose, even though NO is awful away.

14 DEC 7 1:00PMEST * AT BENGALS - Could most definitely lose, even though Cinci is a fraud.

15 DEC 14 1:00PMEST * AT FALCONS - One of the worst teams, so a loss can easily happen.

    16 DEC 21 1:00PMEST * CHIEFS - A threat

17 DEC 28 1:00PMEST * BENGALS - Our season could already be over by this game.

To think where we were coming off beating Houston, Indy and Balt, at 6-3 and facing the 1-8 Jets...to be where we are now. Pathetic and disgusting. How long do we have to suffer with Tomlin failing to do his job?

That is really a "dark" subject for many and has been since he was hired

Yea, and who had what to say about playing the Jets? You thought that was a guaranteed win with no problem. BZZZZZZ, WRONGO BUCKO! FAIL, FAIL, FAIL.

Oh, it's real easy. He has been at the head of the team that keeps getting worse the longer he is here. And he is a pathetic 1-8 against teams that have a .200 winning record or worse. 1-8. You'd think you couldn't fail that bad if you tried.

We missed 3 in a row under Cowher (98, 99, 00). The Rooneys actually gave Cowher an extension after that.

We missed 4 in a row under Noll in the 80's (85, 86, 87, 8, then snuck in at 9-7 in 1989, then 2 more years out (90, 91) before Cowher was hired.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Playing bad teams is supposed to pad your stats, not go against your team. It's these losses against easy opponents that will keep a team from making playoffs, home field advantages or no week off in the playoffs. If it was Cowher, Noll or whomever, we would still be bitching about our head coach had they lost to these easy teams as Tomlin has.

um, i did not. I did think ben would have more success throwing the ball.

I guess when you predict they will lose all the games you are bound to be right sometimes lol

lol games are not meant to pad stats. Florida playing against eastern michigan pads stats, Alabama against florida atlantic pads stats. The steelers played the jets because they both finished in 2nd place in their divisions last year, not so the better team this year could pad its stats.

But especially on any given Sunday with Tomlin as your head coach vs. sub .200 teams (he's only 1-8 vs such).
