I will say it though it won't be popular

I think that will come, but the guys touting him recently are right...he has such great burt and he can turn on a dime so well that he lulls a defender to sleep even when they are in his gaps.
That last play call is the one sticking in your head, and it was a very bad designed run for that situationEven if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.Comment

Bell dances too much. I know his patience creates a lot. But, he misses opportunities and seams a lot as well. The run blocking is actually pretty good and relatively consistent. If your RB is indecisive then running out the clock is not the time for him. Blount should have been the back on the final drive. That is just poor coaching.
Now, I like Bell. I think he does many things very well. But, he needs to take the open 4-5 yard run more often. He is NOT Barry Sanders.Comment

Yeah, as I said, I like the kid. And, you could very well be correct. But, it was not just the last play. There were other plays where he passed up seams to try to create more. The Bucs watched the Carolina tape. They were fully prepared. You can't dance on just about every run. Hopefully, he varies his game more as he matures.Comment

absolutely not, you don't put a straight ahead run type guy in there against a stacked box, especially a guy like blount who has had fumbling issues throughout his career. You put in your best back, one of the top backs in the league, and one of your safest ball carriers. This wasn't garbage time that we were trying to run off the clock, best players on the field in crucial situations, that's how it should be.Comment
