No! Ike wouldn't have intercepted the ball the first time!
CB?

yes.. but the ball would have bounced off his hands and into the WR's. Then Ike would get a penalty for tackling the guy after he is out of bounds.Well Ike has years of being on the field so he gets a point there from me and he is still physically gifted even for a old guy. So I figure he will at some point start over all the other CB's. Not that I would not want to see him get breathers and split time. Does Ike bite on the play Gay did?
Ike has years... but Ike has years...Steelers 27

Mr. Dizz you can bust on Ike and myself all you want. But of all the CB's on the roter only Ike has proven he can shut down the likes of AJ Green and others. Is Ike flawless? NO of course not. But if healthy and ready I will take Ike Vs Green twice coming up soon.Comment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — One last look at the Steelers’ last game …
• Remember when everyone was all fired up that one time Antwon Blake picked off a pass?
Well, what did everyone think Monday when he flailed helplessly at a Tennessee TD?
We all love the backup when the starter isn’t faring well. And when the backup makes a play or two, we’ll rush to anoint him as some found treasure. Trouble is, they’re backups for a reason.
Blake is a special teams gunner and a really good one. That’s it. As a member of the secondary, he’s much more in line with what happened in the 27-24 victory over the Titans than anything else.
Same goes for Brice McCain, whose minus-4.7 grade from Pro Football Focus is fueled almost entirely on poor pass coverage.

CFL CB Delvin Breaux works out for Pittsburgh
By Dan Sager on Jan 17 2015

One of the best cornerbacks in the CFL has caught the interest of 18 NFL teams, and the Steelers are amongst them
With a deep 2015 Draft class full of talented, but unproven cornerbacks, the Pittsburgh Steelers' interests seems to be piqued towards the northern border, as the team has reportedly brought standout CFL CB Delvin Breaux for a workout, according to Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter.
The six-foot-one Breaux is considered by many the most talented defensive back in the CFL, with teammate's and scouts declaring the talented cornerback is 'pro-ready', with some declaring he will be a Week 1 NFL starter in the 2015 season.
Breaux was a highly recruited player in high school and set to attend Louisiana State University after accepting a schoilarship from Les Miles. During his senior year of high school, however, Breaux suffered a life-threatening injury during a kickoff, in which he fractured several vertebrae. Breaux attended LSU, but was never medically cleared to play and eventually left the school.
Breaux went on to play two seasons in the Arena League before signing with the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, where he became an all-star.
A tall, rangy corner, Breaux is also nearly 200 pounds, so his size could be an ideal attribute for the Steelers. With the 27th ranked pass defense in the league during the 2014 season and two big contributors in Brice McCain and Antwan Blake set to become free agents, the Steelers could do a lot worse than signing a 25-year old who is considered a future No. 1 cornerback.
With as many as 18 other teams interested in Breaux's services, the young CFL standout could prove to be a highly coveted commodity.

I don't know much about this player, but he sounds promising in the write-up. I like that the Steelers are looking at these CFL stars as one possible source for the defensive talent they need.CFL CB Delvin Breaux works out for Pittsburgh

Sounds as though there's going to be a lot of competition for his services. If the Steelers think he's a keeper, I hope they get him signed right away.Comment

I think, like Lemon, he'll take a look at who is on the Steelers' roster...for a playoff team, they are not overflowing with depth and quality at CB...especially CBs under contract for next season (Gay, Blake, Allen and Webb)...the financial terms would most likely be comparable for all the teams looking at him, but the Steelers would offer a very good chance to play for a team that went to the playoffs last season...Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

I'm a little more intrigued with this guy than I am with Lemon. Breaux has battled after being out of football for 6 years and played at a high enough level in the CFL that he is widely considered the most talented CB in their league. Pedigree and heart...and size. Nice combination!!
Looks like his home town Saints are also bringing him in for a visit though. Regardless, I really like that we are already scouring the earth to address our 2 biggest areas of need.sigpic
