True but he held firm the rest of the game and wasnt repeatedly exploited. These two guys have stepped up to fill the void, no doubt.
People have been asking who was going to step up...

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentations of their women.
Has the Lake effect struck again? A special teams journeyman (Blake) and one of the lowest rated CB in the NFL last season (McCain) are now at least respectable. Gay is having what is arguably his best season of his career. You can say it's cause of the pass rush, and I would agree and said so before the season started. But these guys have also been in position to make plays when targeted. I think it was Mike & Mike quoting the role of any coach is "getting the best from the best, and making the average better".
No new added CB that I have seen. But a safety with Troy, Shark, and Ventrone hurt. Depot has Dangerfield signed back. No word on 53 roster or PS but someone has to get bumped.

I think that everything goes hand in hand. The pass rush is partly responsible for forcing bad throws, and giving the CBs less time that they have to defend, and at the same time, the CBs are giving the pass rush that extra second or two to get to the QB.
I feel that with the current rules no CB can excel in this league. Only way to be successful on defense is to attack the QB. We have seen that first hand the past two weeks.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"
“Blake and I have been playing this game for a long time, so it doesn't surprise us,” said McCain, who returned an interception for a touchdown at Jacksonville in Week 5. “We're humble about where we are right now, and we'll keep balling.”
I certainly respect his ability to somehow use the words "humble" and "balling" together in the same sentence effectively. Quite a feat.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Neither Colt pick was caused by the pass rush.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
The dancing culprit on the 108-yard KO return was Antwon Blake, who also tried to go underneath a block and got out of his lane. Boom. TD.

While I understand this tweet, it certainly looked to me as though multiple players missed their assignments on KO coverage. Jones never got within arms length of a Steeler...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.
Tomlin should have been standing on the sideline with one leg on the field for that one...

Sounds like Ike Taylor has been cleared to play. #Steelers

How can that be? Has he been cleared to practice yet?
It's probably time to try to resurrect the fledgling career of Cortez Allen. He's got talent, just head problems. Blake and McCain are very flawed corners.
From this morning's PG:
Cornerback Ike Taylor, who is attempting to come back from a fractured bone in his forearm, would not say Tuesday if he had been cleared by doctors to return to full contact in practice. Taylor returned to practice three weeks ago on a limited basis and has been waiting for clearance from doctors to return to full participation.
If the Steelers wait until the 3rd or 4th round for a corner like they usually do, there is a small school CB from Western Kentucky who seems to fit the size profile we typically look for in corners we draft (6'1" 190 lbs). I would love to see the heads of Steeler fans everywhere explode if we did draft this guy. His name is...Cam Thomas.

not sure if they are any more flawed than Ike at this point in his career.

Well Ike has years of being on the field so he gets a point there from me and he is still physically gifted even for a old guy. So I figure he will at some point start over all the other CB's. Not that I would not want to see him get breathers and split time. Does Ike bite on the play Gay did?
