I still argue that Ryan Shazier was better than any of the corners still available where we were picking in round one, Stephon Tuitt was better than any of the corners still available where we were picking in round two, Dri Archer was better than any of the corners still available where we were picking in round three, and Martavis Bryant was better than any of the corners still available where we were picking in round four. We had a need at CB, sure, but we did not reach to fill that need, thereby passing up potentially better football players at other positions.
I cited Woodson knowing he was very, very special player. My point was that some CBs are worth taking high, but this team seems too stubborn to ever admit it and we end up with a bunch of guys who can't make any plays. And I am sick of it. Gay is underrated; I actually think he's a fairly solid player and was worth where he was drafted and was worth re-signing as a FA. Lewis, I am not sure about. Ike is done for his career. If there was ANY a time that we got Shark on the field more (I know he is a safety) the time is right now. I am actually excited about a D with a mix of:

Worilds (not setting the "worilds" on fire), Tuitt/Cam, McClendon, Hayward, Deebow/Moats, Spence, Tomlin, Gay, Lewis, Troy (his play is really starting to concern me, just missing all over the field all day long), Mitchell, Shark, etc.

Call me crazy, but I believe some of the replacement guys are going to offer better play than some of the young guys. A Deebo/Moats combo will prove superior to what Jones was able to give. Wait and see.

They had the same issue with offensive tackles in the draft for years, with value not meeting their need. I remember 2008 in particularly, when something like 7 OTs were off the board before the Steelers took Mendenhall. Ironically, Duane Brown was the last first round OT - taken after Mendenhall - and was considered a huge reach at the time.

Lewis is in New Orleans and Tomlin is on the sidelines (I realize you meant Allen and Timmons).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I don't think there is any doubt that THIS YEAR Fuller would have been the bigger help. I mean we have Spence...and need a DB. But, over the course of their careers...its WAY too early to tell.
          Trolls are people too.

I think Kyle Fuller would have been a great fit in the Steelers' D. And maybe a star for the B & G.

Maybe they'll draft a CB like that next year.

Fuller has looked crazy good for the Bears so far but I do realize it's too early to judge any players from this past draft.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                but Go Steelers!!!
