    I Put This Loss on....

    I put this loss on Ben and the Offense.

    2 turnovers lost this game and Ben blew 3 opportunities to keep this game alive.
    Missed Brown for a big play and then Miller.
    3rd down missed Bell over the middle with a throw to Miller than was broken up.

    The Defense held their own until the end...however not excited about the D Line

    I thought the first drive fumble was a killer, especially since we let them put together two long drives after that for scores. There are so many issues with this team I do know where to begin.

      Defense is reactive, not proactive...we just don't turn the game on defense like we used to.
      It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust & sweat & blood...

        Both lines were outmuscled. Defense gashed by some of the same kinds of plays they were gashed by last week. Offense blew it big time, but D was just as much to blame, IMO. Pretty much a total team loss.

            We were outhit, the Defensive line was HORRIBLE - Did we ever Touch Flacco? the Ran for a buck 70..

            Offensively at least we had a few long albeit unfinished drivess.
            Flacco actually SAID in his Post Game interview that when he looks across the line he doesnt see anything to fear /worry about..
            Sad.

            Offense was not Great, Ben Missed a few guys yes but The Defense had Cats running untouched in the endzone.
            to me more blame goes to them - IMHO

              I know some will disagree here but honestly the Steelers beat themselves tonight. Yes, the Ravens played well. But, the Justin Brown fumble took the wind out of our sails. You could almost see the air sucked out of the team. You can't not convert 3rd's and fumble twice and hope to win...not with a D this horrible.

                We lost this game on several fronts. But, the most disappointing was that they pushed us around up front.
                Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

                      Yeah, it looks like, for the time being, we are now young and dumb as opposed to old and slow...

                      Did the defense get gashed? Sure...

                      But the offense turned the ball over twice and scored 6 points...

                          yep.. but the first TO was at their 10 on the opening drive.

                            No and they might actually step up to the challenge if given the chance. Works for other defenses around the league.

                              While I agree that the offense not scoring a single TD is the main culprit in this game, I still think they have a lot more upside than the defense does. The O has shown the ability to find some creative ways to put the ball in the hands of the skilled guys and I think we have good enough skilled guys to get the job done. The defense worries me the most. When we eventually play an actually good offense, our O will have to score 35+ to keep us in the game.
