    Worilds in Run Defense

SUCKS...along with Cam Thomas getting pushed around. Almost every successful run was to their side. Multiple times Worilds is "guessing pass" and tries to run wide around the RT and simply runs himself right out of the play.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

Yea, that seemed to be the case, on the other hand, I thought Jones did a pretty good job in the run game, but I've seen a lot of posts saying that he didn't do very well. It seemed to me that the most successful runs were to the left of the Steeler defense.

Worilds was sad. But he is not to be overshadowed by Cam Thomas, who has done a FINE job of replacing Evander Hood as the worst player on the field at any given time

Other than Shazier (who had a few mistakes), and a couple great plays from Heyward and Gay, I thought the entire D looked pretty sad.

Jones overall looked pretty good. He had a sack and got some pressure. He did give up one big run when he slipped in the backfield. I see much improvement.
          Trolls are people too.

Worilds looked like he borrowed Ziggys old rollerskates.
Jarvis looks freakishly fast but got fooled several times on the waggle.
Troy in run defense just hurled himself at the line several times taking himself out of the play.
Timmons missed more than a few tackles from what i saw.
I just don't have the time or energy any more to breakdown this teams defense.
My 4th grade tackle team maintains better gap integrity than these guys

I noticed that too, by several players on more than one occasion. I know the turf at Heinz has been an issue but for the home opener??? Maybe the adjustments needed at halftime should have been to their cleats!

PFFs motto should be "We watch every snap, so you dont have to"

Blindly quoting PFF saying "he graded out _______" means absolutely nothing. He played a fine game, had one bad missed tackle but overall looked pretty good, an overall good showing.

Well I will take someone who gets paid over some personal vendetta fans any day until I rewatch the tape.

I used to follow PFF grades pretty closely, but find their entire system flawed. Having no knowledge of the plays that are called, on O and D, give them very little insight into the results of jobs done by Olinemen and defenders.

While that is true, but so are the fans perspective. So everything should be taken the same way then.

I like everyone has a "skewed" opinion including PFF. That's why it's an opinion. What I know is my eyes said JJ is standing out a bit more...seeing him fly around. Actually on one play I thought it was the old Troy...dude looked fast. That sack he had was a nice one...beat a couple guys to get it.
