I hope we are top 10 but it's a totally different D IMO and they have yet to prove they have this scheme figured out. The 73 yarder on the first play looked just like last year
It actually wasn't on the 1st play, but rather, the 1st play on their 2nd series. But, the point remains.

Browns D is gonna be good. We don't hang 32 on them. Probably more like 17. They have two top shelf CBs, a good veteran safety, and a solid front 7 with even Mingo coming on.

Antonio makes Haden look foolish time and time again.

Lets pump the brakes on Gilbert too....even revis looked lost as a rookie. Gilbert should be targeted early and ofter

Linebackers have obviously been addressed, im excited about the current group.

Lewis was no where even close to as good as he was last year when he was with us....he thrived in the press man last season

I cannot see how Mitchell isnt an upgrade from Clark, and clark had a great year in 2012 despite being horrid in 13.

All i am saying is optimism is warranted given the draft, FA, and the current state of the offense. Lebeau has turned different rosters into top 5 defense before. Back in 05 casey hampton was the only guy on that list on the roster and they had the #4 defense
How can you be optimistic about the defense and also think they need the soon to be 36-year old, shell of his former self, Brett Keisel? If they really need Brett Keisel, the defensive line is in shambles.

I also don't see the Bengals falling that precipitously - they're still a loaded roster with a decent QB. I hope it happens, but I'd be very surprised.
