Ive come around....he has been a big surprise to me. He was not good at tennessee and he was down right horrible at the senior bowl but its looks like hes come to play as a steeler

Hoping he makes the roster, but not holding my breath either. They tend to practice squad players like him. Good potential but raw.

I believe Taamu got practice sqauded, maybe woods too

I am so pleasantly surprised with him, its hard to hate a 6th round pick but i hated when they picked him
I completely agree. Watching the game, McCullers was one of the most disruptive defensive linemen out there. He was continually pushing the pocket and absorbing multiple blockers. IMO he is a real keeper who can become very, very good.

I would be very concerned about keeping McCullers if we tried to put him on the practice squad. There is some good film on him in the preseason and enough teams are looking for a NT that we could lose him.

6th round, two down NT, can't beat it with a stick IMO, hopefully, he doesn't fizzle, but I can't see him not making the team. If they PS him, he'll get snapped up based on what he has put on film this preseason, IMHO.

I'm with you. He goes to the PS and I think that's the same as him being gone. Some team will want him even if it's just for spot relief a handful of plays a game. Come in and eat up 2 o-line to give your starter a break.

A solid NT's contributions are not measured on the scoresheet. How many blockers he occupies, closing down the option of running up the middle because his huge gut is in the way...it is all in the eyeball test. Almost like saying that a CB had a bad game because he gave up a completion the only time that the O threw in his direction all game.

That would suck bad seeing Keisel in any other uniform.

I doubt we keep Both Mauro AND Big Mac. Big Mac is getting a lot of love on this thread. But Mauro look legit. We aren't likely keep THREE rookie dlinemen on a defense that values experience. They will try to stash someone on the practice squad at great risk in my opinion. If you had to choose one of the two who do you pick?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I think they keep them both. Arnfelt is the one who seems destined for the practice squad.

I could see them keeping them both. Would imagine one or both wouldnt dress on gameday. I wonder how Mauro would be on ST, remember what a freak of nature keisel was on ST?

Dockett is a DT if I recall and Kiesel is a DE. Not sure how Kiesel helps

Mauro isn't going to put on anyone's 53. Someone desperate for depth at NT could take McCullers. I would put McCullers on the final 53 and the other guys on PS

Docket is 100% a DE in that defense.

Dockett and Campbell play DE, Dan williams plays NT

They will either sign keisel or roll with Ed Stinson I guess...all of their LBs are rush backers, Abraham, Okafor, Acho

Mauro does not have young Keisels speed. His technique on dline makes him play above his athleticism. Not so good for special teams.
