I had a trade down with Benjamin until about a week ago in my sig. I would love that scenario too. I just have 3 CBs now rated ahead of him after I did my final board. I feel if the Steelers have a shot at one of Gilbert, Fuller, or Dennard...They will be the pick. They may not even gamble & trade down...They may just take him at #15. Mayock did his mock last night on NFL Network & had the Steelers taking Fuller at #15.
I think many would agree...Gilbert, Fuller, or Dennard at #15 would be a solid #1. I hear they like Benjamin, Shazier, & Roby with a "trade down" scenario. So this could get interesting. I would be happy with any off Benjamin, Shazier, & Roby + a pick. This is a pretty solid crop for the 1st round...One of the better ones recently. You are looking at 15+ Top 10 prospects & 25+ legit 1st round talents. That's pretty deep in the front end & it is deep throughout.
I don't think there will be a faller like a JJ or DeCastro for the Steelers. I think the plan is pretty simple. Targets are Evans, Gilbert, Fuller, & Dennard...Not necessarily that order. Doubt Evans falls. If one of the 3 CBs are there...It would take a nice deal for the Steelers NOT to make a pick. If everyone stays put...One should be there but teams are already on the move to jump in front of the Steelers for a CB. Steelers have a bulls eye on their back & no ammo to move. If the 3 CBs are gone...They are on the move & I believe the conversations have already taken place. If one of Bortles or Manziel are still on the board at #15...Things could get very interesting in the war room with the phone ringing.
