Well, maybe a WR, but the draft is deep with WRs, so I think they can still go BPA at 1.15 and take the best WR left at 2.47, I agree not a NT though at 1.15, roll with Thomas and draft one in a later round. The Steelers have their #1 WR on the roster, if they draft Evans for instance, then at some point you will in all likelihood have two #1s and have to pay them as such, then it becomes untenable. I'd rather wait and draft a #2 that we only have to pay like a #2 and at least be able to keep him.

The draft is so deep a WR and we have a #1 that we could still go ILB, OT, NT or CB and still get quality in the 2nd round at WR...

We have a #1... we don't need a 1A but we damn sure need other positions as well.

That's what I was trying to say in a much more verbose fashion, succinctness is good thing. I don't see Nix being the BPA at 1.15, but if he is, then, by all means take him, but I don't think the draft will fall that way. I don't think I'd like NT if they took him, but I'd certainly understand why they took him. I didn't like the Hampton pick either, but for ten years I was happy as Hell with Hampton.

what difference does it make what round a wr is drafted if they warrant #1 money?
