    Re: Best 4 LBs

Moving Worilds inside is not enough of a flippy-style suggestion. I expect flippy to really go outside the box...like starting Hood-McLendon-Timmons up front (or Casey at NT if he stays), and moving Keisel to ILB next to Timmons. Keisel's easily the most athletic guy on the Steelers for his size (kind of the opposite of saying a featherweight boxer is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world)...teammates vouch for him as the best basketball player on the team. He's at least as fast as Farrior was over the last few seasons, and about 10 lbs heavier than Kirkland was (and his 285 lbs are spread out over a 6'5" frame as opposed to Kirk carrying 275 lbs on a stocky 6'1" build). Think anyone wants to run up the gut against the Diesel with a full head of steam (remember how good he was running down kicks once upon a time)? However, Keisel won't have any solo tackles as an ILB...for every tackle, an assist will be given to Da Beard!!! Now THAT's the type of suggestion that I expect from flippy. You're welcome.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I agree, that the only thing Worilds might have in terms of ILB is a stoutish body that many ILBs have... in that regard, so does Silverback BTW. But as far as I know, he (nor James) has ever played ILB, so it's a tremendous projection to put him there.

I also think Foote is the starter, someone who can play just as well as (old) Farrior at a reasonable price.

AND I agree that I'd like to see Stevenson Sylvester make that next leap into potential starter role.

One thing I DON'T agree with, is taking Donta Hightower. Not to say he won't be a solid pro (I don't like his lack of speed though... I've said that before.) We have many other holes that should be addressed before we spend it on a limited but solid player (IMO) like Hightower. We're stocked with that type on D: Hood, Heyward... guys who are solid at best. We need potential impact players.

Now on O, we need that type.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

For a time, prior to 2007 when he became a starter, Harrison was the top backup at both OLB positions AND at Mack ILB...

        Just saying...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

          Interesting.
BTW, for the record, I think our best prospect at LB isn't Worilds. I think Worilds is/could become a solid player (i.e. Haggans, Gildon).

I have a hunch about Chris Carter. That's why I'm against picking a guy like Hightower.

Larry Grant from San Francisco could be an interesting FA pick-up.

I think I've suggested this before.

You could have Ziggy, Hampton, and Heyward up front and move the athletic Keisel to ILB.

Heck, we could draft Devon Still to add to the DLine and have a potential future line of Still, Ziggy, and Heyward.

And if Lebeau wants to get creative, he can really mix and match the front 7 and allow some of these guys to be used in multiple positions.

Worilds is not a better ILB than he would be an OLB. Maybe he progesses enough to replace Harrison in a few years. He'll have plenty of opportunities to show he can.

Timmons is solid on one. Foote will START on the other side, but Sylvester will play plenty in that spot. He'll also get chances to replace Foote starting in 2013-14 or even late in the year. But not at the beginning of 2012-13
