    OK, I will say it

    Arians needs to go.

Any wonder why this moron has never been coveted by any NFL team for a headcoaching stint.
    Average Arians at best.

Not to even mention red zone scoring.

Pete, you are right about this...but allow me to predict some of the responses that you will get:

"Arians isn't that bad of an OC."
"We won a Super Bowl with him."
"It's all on the players--they keep failing to execute."

Being ranked 14th isn't really that bad considering our division and our strength of schedule the last 5 years, and having the #1 or #2 ranked defense is a recipe for Division Championships, playoff success, and Super Bowl appearances.

If our offense was ranked higher we would win the Super Bowl every year and never lose, we would basically have no competition...what fun would that be?

You got me!! But you know when he was looking up the stats he was hoping we were ranked in the 20's.

Win the Super Bowl every year? I'd be up for that kind of fun!

I dont care what people say, this is what i feel.
This team needs a new OC next year.
When we win, its usually because of Ben scrambling or making a ply.
Does anyone honestly ever say wow, that was a well designed offensive play or wow that was a perfect time to run that play.
Even Gruden said last night "what a horrible route distribution on Bens first pick.
A man that insists on having D.Johnson on the field for 75% of the night should be beat.
He confuses his own players with his overthought personnel changes and substitutions then outwitting the opposition.
There is not a whole lot of play creativity being seen here week after week, we seem to come out flat after the half and we can never finish lately.
Start fresh and let Ben sulk.
Might just extend his career a few more years.

I think the play that Gruden was talking about, (the interception) someone ran the wrong route. I don't disagree that Arians is bad, but Norv Turner has sucked all year in SD, yet he put together a perfect game for the Ravens, and Arians play calling for the Pats** game was perfect. That being said, how bad is Lebeau? I mean if you have ever played Madden you know that if you want to beat the Steelers with the Niners all you need to do is hit Vernon Davis on crossing patterns all night.

So yes Arians leaves much to be desired, put so would every other OC who sits in that seat. At least he was in the top half of the league, our next OC could very well be in the low 20's...remember Kevin Gilbridt or old Sherm? Just saying it could be worse.

norv turner may be available pretty soon. I think he's a horrible HC - but there is no doubt he is an offensive mastermind.

Re: OK, I will say it

It might very well be time to make the move on Arians.

Unlike many of you, Chadman doesn't really have a problem with BA- even his reluctance to play a FB.

He's never had the luxury of an OL that can actually block, so his running game has continually suffered as a result.

That said- Chadman believes in things going stale- and from the looks of it, the Steelers O migt be in danger of just that. The players are there, but we are not really seeing them exceed themselves as much as we'd like, and we are not seeing some players develop as much as we would like either.

New ideas & new schemes can change that. It might bring players that we consider under-used more into the spotlight- guys like Redman & Saunders for example.

That said, the new OC better know how to gameplan for the opposition D being in the Steeler backfield 90% of the game..
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                    Light up the darkness.

I know BA didn't throw the picks but knowing he had a wounded QB he should have had Ben throwing short passes to the point it equaled a running game. I said that days before the game, BA must not have gotten the memo.

Sherm was referring to Ray Sherman, not Sherm Lewis (who was an NFL offensive coordinator, but not here).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Can you really make Ben throw shorter passes? The only way you can do that is to stop all long pass patterns and then guess what will happen? Ben will break the pocket, point a WR to go long and still go for the HR. The short pass was there and looking at a few replays it looked like the TE Johnson may have been the intended WR on that route.
