Troy at 20 percent still > Mundy or Allen.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

On the other board I mostly read on, but don't post alot, that would bring out ALL the Ravens trolls. That's one of the great things about this place, very few trolls to deal with

If the Saints win and we win we win the North. If the Colts win then we get a bye.

Then by all means Troy should play this weekend if he can go. The Steelers win, Saints win and Colts win then Troy will have three weeks to rest. Play him and hope it all falls into place; there's a good chance it can happen this way.

i agree with what everyone says about troy still being the best even at less than 100%....i think him being on the field will get in sanchez's head which will lead to thier demise

Steelers' Polamalu not likely to play vs. Jets

                  Friday, December 17, 2010
                  By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
                  Peter Diana/Post-Gazette

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is dealing with a lower-leg injury.Troy Polamalu, who has made game-changing defensive plays in each of the past three games, is not expected to play Sunday against the New York Jets after aggravating his lower-leg injury on a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Polamalu has not practiced the past two days, which has been the routine for the five-time Pro Bowl safety since he was injured last month. But he has always practiced Friday and played Sunday -- until now.

The Steelers do not have to list Polamalu's official injury status for the game until today after practice. He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Ryan Mundy or Will Allen.

Despite aggravating his injury in the second quarter against the Bengals, Polamalu never missed a play and even had a second interception in the fourth quarter.

His teammates have suggested that one of the reasons he lateraled the ball to cornerback Bryant McFadden on the second interception -- a move that upset coach Mike Tomlin and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau -- was because Polamalu did not want to continue to run with his injury, especially because it could have been a lengthy return.

Polamalu, who has four of his team-high six interceptions during the team's four-game winning streak, has been a defensive hero lately.

His diving interception at the Steelers' 2 in the final three minutes in Buffalo prevented the Bills from tying the game or scoring the go-ahead touchdown in the Steelers' overtime victory. The following week, his strip sack on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco led to the winning touchdown with 2:51 remaining in a 13-10 victory in Baltimore. And his interception return for touchdown against the Bengals tied the score and ignited the Steelers in a 23-7 victory.

Basicly yes. But mathmatically we also need a (1) loss by (Broncos, Panthers, Texans, Browns) or a (1) win by (Falcons, Titans, Bengals, Raiders) to obtain strength of victory. Many of these teams play each other. To simplify, GO Bengals!

Every player with a Steelers uniform is expected to perform at a winning level, right?

Our offense is playing crappy right now, too, and going up against the Jets' D, I don't expect this to be a breakout week for Ben and Co.. Troy is the one who has stepped up the last two weeks and rescued us...Will Allen may "step in and play commendably," but can he come up with game-winning plays like Troy has? Who do we expect will step up and make a game-changing play? I'm sorry, but as I look at our D-backfield, I'm not inspired to confidence about this.

Ike could be that guy, but teams rarely throw to his side and by position he is limited to what he can provide. We may have to survive our secondary this week to win, not rely on it.
