    because Summer is already on the practice squad. Gibson wasn't. they had to release thad to bring up mclendon.. they want to put thad on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

      I hear ya H but I'm not completely buying it. If Gibson was a beast even if he is low man on the totem pole no way do they risk this move. I wasn't a big Gibson fan in college. I like physical linebackers. I was actually pleasantly surprised to find out that he was playing well in camp...showing flashes. There is no doubt the guy has athletic ability. You can't teach speed and quickness. He has both. With that said, you don't risk losing a guy you believe will be special. I think he will be back. I hope he grows into a terrific LBr for us. Just not a fan and I understand the move.

          well, there was a reason why Gibson lasted until the 4th round...

          haven't seen any other team claim him yet, we may very well re-sign him to the PS on Monday.
