    Tomlin is gone

Officially stepped down today. I respect him not dragging it out. Who is #4 since 1969?

Thank God, I don't have to mention his name again. I'm a happy camper. To all the people I drove nuts because of my dislike for MT including the original poster Ghost, I apologize. It's likely too early, but who would be your choice for the next HC?

I like Joe Brady the Bills OC as our next head coach. He’s only 36 which is about the right age preference for the Rooneys. No Mike McCarthy or Brian Flores please.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

The last 3 were mostly unknown coordinators. Maybe #4 since 1969 will be another young guy.

If we can trade for Khalil Shakir and Joe Brady in a package deal, I'd jump at the opportunity.

Best coach I've ever seen is Chris Petersen. Dude took 2 and 3 star recruits and almost won the college football championship. If his kicker didn't miss a chip shot, I believe Boise would have won it all that year.

I say fire the entire coaching staff and Omar Khan as well. Let's start fresh with a proper rebuild.

i think you can cross any white coaches off the list of possible replacements.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Byron Leftwich. Just putting it out there.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                        Light up the darkness.

Leftwich? Just NO. I might give him a shot as an assistant, but he couldn't even hold down the OC position with the Bucs, could he?

I've got nothing but respect and appreciation for Mike T and hold him in the same light as I do Cowher. I did not support firing him because of what he means to his players to a man and the culture he has sustained. But I was very okay with him stepping down on his own and after last night, felt like it was time he did that. So, a tip of the cap to Mike T for everything he's done and for doing the right thing in immediate fashion - giving the team the absolute best chance of the best hire out there. Personally, I'm liking Chris Shula or Robert Saleh early on. I like maintaining the defensive mindset but hiring the right coordinators on both sides of the ball. Being entrenched in and rising up the McVay tree for so long...plus obviously the genes and upbringing, make Shula very interesting to me.
