man, every draft is loaded with ‘steals’ but tomlin can’t seem to win
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Faced most stacked boxes than any CFP RB, reminds me of Bell but with better long speed.

Love this pick, would have even if Henderson and Judkins were still on the table.

RB was the position I watched the most highlights of pre-draft. Keeping in mind they're only highlights, this was the guy I liked most after the first rounders. One of the things I look at is if a runner is consistently running through gaping holes in most of the highlight runs. It's one of the reasons why I didn't want Najee. I call it the Ron Dayne effect. Johnson does well in traffic, has a way to be physical yet also avoid contact, breaks tackles, bounces off guys etc. He also looks like he has JuJu speed - just enough to keep from being run down.

This highlight clearly shows his breakaway speed:

Measured from the 50 yd line (I know, a running start) he crosses the goal line in 5 seconds.

How do you view the offensive line going into the coming season?

He has a good chance to be #1 on our rb depth chart before long.
His run vison is better than good And he showed an impressive burst to and through the hole hitting 21 runs of 20+ yards in 2024 despite facing stacked boxes
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Love some running backs but I honestly haven’t watched any Iowa games because I always found their offense to be struggle bus but the highlights are impressive.

I mean.. he definitely looks like a Steeler, lol.

                            I view it as a big "??".

I've been cool on Jones for a while now. I'm taking people's word that he will improve because he is going to play on his 'natural' side. I think he has more problems than what side he plays on. Fautanu is another "??". Some say he looked good in his limited snaps but I seen a guy struggle with pass pro. But, far too soon to pass judgment on the guy. McCormick was a lot of up and down last season. But understandable because he wasn't supposed to even be playing. And Meyer is not the guy to be coaching these guys up. Bottomline, questions abound but I'll stay positive until they show us otherwise.

But the hope is that Johnson's vision for the outside zone is a lot better than Harris'. I can't tell you how many times I was frustrated to see Harris take the wrong cut, or simply smash into the back of his OL. He got spoiled by the Alabama OL opening gaping holes a semi could run through.

+1. Johnson has outstanding vision! Harris was bascailly Mr. Magoo

After Najee, seeing that Johnson has several 50+ yard plays to his credit in college is refreshing.
