Jacksonville takes the hometown boy A La The Browns? Now that would be funny, IMO.

Jacksonville needs to sell tickets. Period. Nine out of ten home games last season were blacked out in the local TV market. They cover much of the upper decks with tarps and still cannot sell the remaining seats. Season ticket packages start as low as $300 ($30 per game)...I pay more than double that for 32nd row upper deck end zone bleacher seats at Heinz. Last year, with a playoff berth on the line and facing in-state rival Miami, they still could not sell out the game.

However, 1500 people paid $160 a pop to wait in line in a Jacksonville mall to get Tim Tebow's autograph. Tebow may not have an NFL QB skill set, but he puts butts in seats, particularly in his hometown, where people view him as a demi-god. For most teams, winning is priority #1, but when your business model is failing to the point that you will be forced to become the L.A. Jaguars sooner rather than later, the business of selling tickets can take precedent over, say, generating the pass rush required to defeat Peyton Manning in the AFC South.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Tebow gets linked with Jacksonville alot.

Instead of picking Tebow at #10,where he would be a phenomenal reach, would Jacksonville trade down with the Patriots & select Tebow later in Round 1?

Chadman saw today that the Patriots were kicking the tyres of Rolando McClain...if he falls to #10....
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

        Light up the darkness.
