The Steelers met with Pitt tight ends Dorin Dickerson and Nate Byham yesterday. The two don't count against the 30 official visits the Steelers are allowed to host prior to the NFL Draft since Pitt is a local school. Colbert said the Steelers won't start bringing in out-of-town draft prospects until after the NFL owners meetings, which run from March 21-24 in Orlando, Fla.

some added competition for TEs Matt Spaeth, Sean McHugh and David Johnson wouldn't hurt...Steelers might be thinking the same thing.

At his size, would Dickerson even be a TE in the Steeler offense? He might be a big WR, but I don't think he would stand up to the blocking needs of a Steeler TE.

Dickinson and Byham are the only legit draft prospects from Pitt this year. They just both happen to play TE. I wouldn't read too much into the position. Just a couple of guys who train in the same complex as the Steelers anyway (the Steelers and Pitt football share the facility), who came over to the Steeler side the of the UPMC Sport Complex for a visit, since it does not count against our limit anyway.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Members of the Steelers staff are in Florida today meeting with LB Brandon Spikes. I usually don't trust TIOPS, so take it with a grain of salt.

They'll look at Haden, Spikes, Pouncey, and Cunningham pretty closely.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Bucks, perfectly understandable considering how the Gators and Tebow spanked OSU. Most of Buckeye Nation probably feels the same way.

I think the Steelers are definitely looking at Tim Tebow, in fact they have already fitted him with a Steelers uniform -

Step 1: Remove the eye-black stickers from his cheeks.

Step 2: Erase the biblical verse written on them.

Step 3: Place them under each nostril.

                          Voila!

                          You've got Mark Malone.

You can line him out wide as a rookie, and he'll catch a 90 yard TD pass.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

this is either really smart or really stupid on the Seahawks' part, guess we'll see -

Obtaining Whitehurst proves costly for Seahawks

For better or worse, the first years of the Pete Carroll era in Seattle will be defined by Charlie Whitehurst.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that the Seahawks have obtained Whitehurst, a restricted free agent, from the Chargers. Seattle will move down 20 picks in the second round of the 2010 draft and give up a third-round pick in 2011 to get San Diego's third-string quarterback.

But that's not the costly part.

The Seahawks have agreed to terms on a two-year deal with Whitehurst that is expected to pay him $5 million-per-year. Yikes.

It's a huge gamble considering Whitehurst has not attempted a regular season pass as a pro. But he should fairly soon with that contract.

Give Carroll and G.M. John Schneider credit for targeting their guy and having the cajones to go get him. They just better be right.
