Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday he was confident that star safety Troy Polamalu would play in Sunday’s game against athe Cincinnati Bengals.
Polamula left Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a head injury and was experiencing concussion-like symptoms.
Although Polamalu still has to pass concussion tests later this week, Tomlin said “all things are positive” at the moment.
It isn’t the first head concern for Polamalu, who left Pittsburgh’s Week 6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a head injury. He was cleared to play the following week, but his status this time around is up in the air.
The 2010 Defensive Player of the Year has 64 tackles and a sack so far this season.
