KDKA (Pittsburgh News) is reporting that Steelers tickets aren’t hard to come by for the Steeler’s Sunday matchup against the San Diego Chargers. Call it the bad economy, call it the cold weather (cold weather??) but I’m shocked to hear this.
As reported, this is a great opportunity for people such as myself to travel to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers playoff appearance when normally we wouldn’t have the opprtunity to do so without paying “through the roof” prices for tickets. While I don’t think you’ll see many Chargers fans in the stadium this year, I am shocked to hear that there could be empty seats in Heinz field for a playoff game.
Some Steelers fans are even complaining about not going to the game because of the cold weather! Folks, thats what football, in particular, Steelers playoff football is all about. If you are that type of fan, please hand over your season tickets to some of the other people out there that have to wait for decades to get season tickets.
For the rest of us, let’s support our beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and have Heinz Field rockin’ this sunday. Let’s bring home field advantage back to Pittsburgh.
