The Steelers made it official yesterday releasing James Farrior, Hines Ward, Aaron Smith and Chris Kemoeatu. The four veterans are free to go and negotiate with other teams. Chris Kemoeatu has already started. His agent has been in contact with three teams.
Aaron Smith is the only one expected to retire. Hines Ward and Farrior are at least going to make an effort to sign with other teams. There is a good chance that Farrior will only play for a contender or will retire. Ward looks to be the only one who will force the issue to play just to play.
Good luck to all these guys. They were very helpful in the Steelers run to their last 2 Super Bowls.
