Jameel Mclain was fined $40,000 for his illegal hit on Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller. Mclain was not penalized on the play but league officials contacted NBC to inform the announcers that the play should have been penalized.
Haloti Ngata was fined $15000 for his hit on Ben Roethlisberger. Obviously unintentional, Ngata’s hand sneaked into Roethlisberger’s face mask essentially breaking Big Ben’s nose. Roethlisberger never missed any snaps the rest of the game.
