PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Steelers came out of Monday night’s game in San Francisco relatively healthy, but one major injury will give the Steelers some depth problems moving forward.
Running back Mewelde Moore suffered an MCL sprain and is expected to be out Saturday against St. Louis. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday at his weekly press conference there could be a roster move because of Moore’s injury.
“Needless to say he won’t be available this week,” Tomlin said.
Running back Rashard Mendenhall is dealing with sore ribs, but Tomlin said he expects him to be fine and available on Saturday.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) and Lamarr Woodley will be evaluated today. Tomlin said Woodley was removed late in the game Monday night because of fatigue.
“LaMarr Woodley I thought did fine coming of his injury last night,” Tomlin said. “He was able to participate. We took him out at the end of the game as fatigue sets in, but he was fine. No setbacks there.”
Tomlin said he expects to have linebacker Chris Carter, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and center Maurkice Pouncey available to play against the Rams.
