Four Steelers Are Hall Of Fame Semi-Finalists

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Four former Steelers have been name to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s semi-final list for modern-era players and personnel.

Running back Jerome Bettis, center Dermonti Dawson linebacker Kevin Greene and safety Donnie Shell are candidates for the Hall of Fame’s upcoming class. They join 22 other players as semi-finalists, widdled down from a list of over 100.

Surprising to some is that former head coach Bill Cowher was not named to the list.

The group of 26 will be reduced to 15 finalists in mid-January and those will be up for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
