If the Steelers came away in what has been hailed as a very deep draft for defensive players with this....I would call for Colbert to be fired for sure. Two TE's including a first rounder????

Mister, I don't think there is any way to top this mock as the worst. Two TEs? The only pick I like is McCourty in Rd. 2.

Mister, I don't think there is any way to top this mock as the worst. Two TEs? The only pick I like is McCourty in Rd. 2.

This one was the inspiration for this thread. There is no way in hell that site has any clue about the Steelers needs. 6 offensive players, including 2 TE out of 9 picks for a team that struggled on defense in what has been called the deepest defensive draft in a long time......

The two TEs are the only thing that make this ridiculous. Eliminate Pitta in Round 5 and add an ILB it is actually a decent mock. Gresham wil be a beast and teamed with Miller would present huge match up issues for our opponents. Ultimately Gresham would be a great player to assume the Hines Ward possession/move the chains role as a RECEIVER.

Our defense is in rough shape. If we don't go very heavy in this draft, especially the top end of it, on defense.....I gotta question Colbert. Our offense doesn't have many holes and younger players all over the place. Our defense has an immediate hole at FS and backup S, CB, and we will need to address NT and ILB in the very near future. For us to go heavy on offensive players in what is being proclaimed by nearly everyone a very deep defensive draft.....that would be a mistake.

eliminate Gresham in Round 1 and substitute ILB Sean Weatherspoon and this wouldn't be a bad mock at all...I like a lot of the other picks, especially McCourty, Dixon, Pitta and Johnson.

If we just re-upped Spaeth, we are NOT going to be drafting a TE... PERIOD! Miller is cast in granite here. Add Spaeth to that and that equals NO WAY on TE.

This is a decent mock draft in Rounds 2 through 4. I don't even necessarily knock Gresham. I think he will be a very good add for a team that has the need. But the Steelers will find value picks when they draft at #18 that they will also NEED. They need OL, DL, ILB and DB. They will likely find a player of value at #18 that fits one of those needs.

NFL Draftsite needs to go back to the drawing board with their crayons and guess again.
