    Richard Marshall?

A second round tender on him. A young starting CB decent size and speed. Would he be worth a second? I would love this move.

It'd be hard to find a second rounder that could contribute as much as Marshall could. Plus he's young and may still have some upside.

He's a smaller corner, so I'm not sure how he'd fit in our system, but it's definitely worth inviting him in for a looksee.

How likely would the Panthers match an offer for Marshall? Good corners are hard to come by.

Richard Marshall could be intriguing target

As we sift through the rubble of Wednesday's restricted free agency eruption, we're putting together a mental list of players that could be targeted for offer sheets.

Add Carolina cornerback Richard Marshall to the list. He was tendered at a second-round level, which isn't too high for a starter coming off an impressive season.

They're just looking to see where to begin negotiations with Marshall by letting some other team make him an offer. I doubt they actually let him walk for a second.

I guess a better question is can the Steelers sign him to a long term deal? No point in giving up a second round pick to a player they can't resign.
