That game was good for hockey. Im glad to see Crosby got the game winner instead of any other Canadian. Hopefully, some of that confidence will carry over to this years playoffs. He is accumulating quite a special resume of accomplishments.

I didn't watch a hockey game until 2 weeks ago. Still don't understand all the rules/calls, but definately look forward to watching more now. Great game today, just wish we would have pulled it out. But great goal by Crosby.

Ah, we win all the time in the Olympics- I'm glad they won it- it's their sport and it is good for their country. We won more medals than ever before. That's an achievement in itself...

Both countries should be proud....As we all should be towards our neighbors to our north.

As a Canadian, I think that both Games we played against the US were great games to watch. I think it was good for the sport that the American team was so strong in the Olympics, and really pushed the Canadians around in the round robin game. I really felt for Miller when they were interviewing him after the game. I think he's the MVP of the tournement. But, it feels good to beat the US in hockey. I think that the US has passed Russia as our biggest rivals on the ice (because you are also the main competition for the women and the juniours).

For Canada, this win was very special. Not only did we win on home soil after finishing 7th in the last games, but it was our 14th gold medal. That's the most gold medals ever won at the Winter Olympics by any country. It's especially gratifying because going in to the games we were the only country not to get a gold medal as the host country (in both Montreal and Calgary). So, it was pretty cool to go from setting the mark of futility to the mark of excellence.

I also heard today that the total US medal count is the most total medals ever won by a country at the Winter olympics. So both our countries have something to hang their hats on.

Crosby sucks!!!! And I want to hear him publicly apologize to Brooks for hitting him in the head with a high stick in the first game. I was hoping Orpik was gonna bury him yesterday.

Unless of course he wins us another Stanley Cup, then he'll be back in my good graces.

And how about Flower? Any one of us coulda done just as good a job sitting on the bench and watching. What a great way to win a gold.

Anyone wanna trade Malkin and Gonchar for some of the young American talent? Some of these young kids played with heart the Russians could only dream of. I feel like our Russians are tainted now that they've been teammates of Ovey. Yuck!!!!

Crosby is a class act all the way, I feel pretty confident in saying that he is mature and does not have a big head to the point where he is an arrogant jerk like so many other high profile athletes. I am proud that he is a Pittsburgh Penguin and I cant wait for the second half of hockey to start.

I really feel that this game put hockey back on the map a little bit, hopefully enough to the point where if I ever turn on BSPN they will not be slobbering all over the nba like they do now. lebron james is jackass, he actually has been quoted as saying that he wishes he could clone himslef so his team could win, he has tatoos that say "chosen one" he does not shake hands, he is arrogant, and the fact that he demanded to destroy all tapes of a kid dunking on him shows what a prick he is. Yet BSPN would rather talk about how great he is over someone who actually has won a championship and is total class like Sidney Crosby. (sorry, I hate the nba so much and I am quite bitter about my hatred towards it, I just dont get why the slam dunk is still the most wowed aspect of basketball, a 6'8 guy jumping and slamming a ball through a hoop is looked at like a person walking on water)
