felt, all season JA wasn't getting it done. for whatever reason. he just wasn't.
I also agree with your assessment that it's partly due to selfish play by PM.

let me ask you: even though the colts were running the ball well, did you think they were gonna keep running it or did you think that the game would come down to having the ball in pm's hands?

I thought if the Colts kept running the game would've been over. Funny thing is when the Colts stopped the Saints at the GL it was a perfect time to pass and I think they ran it 3 straight times. Running was the smart thing to do regarding clock management but all the other times when running was logical PM abandoned it.

I don't think it's ever smart to stop running when it's working and it's a one score game. This is the one frustration we all have with BA in the Cleveland game. If Mend is getting 5 yards a
pop why pass 40 times amd only run 11 against a bad run D.

I'm not asking you what the smart thing to do was (i agree they should have run it more), i'm asking, what did you think they were gonna do? I knew they would throw the ball. it's what they do.
And i agree 100% about the cleveland game. what really hurts about that game is how poorly the o-line was blocking (c'mon 8 sacks!) and we kept trying. we were getting good push. oh yea the other thing that got to me in that game is how they were missing like 5 starters on defense! c'mon bruce! give me a break!

Seriously, I thought they would run more...I knew they would pass but I thought they would run more seeing how successful it was early.

If I'm the Saints I play pass all day and make Addai beat me. I don't think anyone besides the Jets would blitz Manning all day long or invite him to beat them with his arm.

Wait, am I missing something here? I always thought the way to beat Manning was to give him happy feet by smacking the heck out of him, NOT rushing only 3 guys and giving him all day to pick his target . Isn't that what we did in the '05 playoffs? Hats off to the Saints, they beat him a different way. Lots of guts, Payton (the coach) has!

SanAntonio the Jets blitzed every down and they were obvious about it.

We didn't blitz Peyton that much in 05 it just looks like it because our D rushes from odd angles. When it's broken down on film you get to see how beast our D is. Pats did the same thing but they also cheated...
