" If you could have one ex-Steeler on the coaching staff..."

I was just surfing the internet when I came across a website entitled "Steelers Hotline" and they asked an interesting question...

"If you could have one ex-Steeler back to be on the coaching staff, who would it be and what coaching position would you give him?"

Once Keith Butler takes over for Mr. LeBeau as DC, I would love to see Jack Lambert come back to work with our LBers...since our defense is so complex we better hire Jack immediately so he can learn the defense for a year first though.

        Tony Dungy would be sweet.

Jack Lambert could actually call Jimmy Hate a pussy and get by with it.

I know that Kevin Greene is coaching elsewhere, but you have to love his intensity.

Maybe Dirt Dawson could improve the OL?

Dick Hoak again. I think Mendenhall would benefit from Hoak's tutelage (he's two years younger than Dick LeBeau, even though he looks about 25 years older).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Frenchy Fuqua ... just for the shoes

As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

            but Go Steelers!!!

              Tunch for the o-line

Brian Hinkle or Jerry O for the linebackers

              Blount for the secondary

                1. Beltin Delton Hall - could bring some real swagger to our secondary. Seriously, I'd probably go with Carnell Lake who seemed like a sharp guy who had to learn to play multiple positions and played them well. Not many safeties could move to CB like Carnell.
                2. Louis Lipps - could teach Limas how to catch and he was one of the first guys I remember who made a goatee look cool. If we couldn't get him, I'd grab Weegie Thompson for WR coach since he's big and lanky and awkward like Sweed. Or we could grab Dwight Stone so Sweed didn't feel so bad about his hands.
                3. Sean Morey - he was an Ivy Leaguer and never looked like he should be out there playing, but he contributed on ST, seems like ingredients for a perfect future coach
                4. Dwayne Woodruff - SuperBowl champ to lawyer to judge to football coach sounds about right to me. Seemed like he was a smart player.
                5. Bubby Brister - I loved the guy's passion. It made up for his lack of talent. I bet he'd get along with Ben as his QB coach.
                6. Wayne Gandy - totally serious about this one. This guy was the most underrated Steeler lineman of all time. Our line fell apart when he left. It's time to bring him back.
                7. Kimo Von Olehoffen - Dirt always said Kimo was the hardest lineman he ever had to block. What made him so good despite average athleticism. That's a recipe for a good coach right there.
                8. Mark Bruener - what a workhorse. He could teach our TEs how to block.
                9. Larry Foote - I know he's still playing, but he's a guy I'd bring back to coach one day. Undersized but played with heart and instincts that few players have.
                10. Carleton Haselrig - I just like how he used his wrestling skills to play football. I think there's something this guy could teach that other football players don't have. Plus he could work with some Sumo's that we bring in as UDFAs.

                  Brister and Haselrig? Seriously?
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

There's a name I haven't seen in a long time. Master of the 15-yard personal foul....he's the reason I now drink.

2nd vote for Sean Morey = Special Teams Coach

Has the right mix of emotional attitude with smarts/game knowledge.
