Bobby April, the Steelers special teams coordinator from 1994-95 under Bill Cowher, was interviewed by Coach Mike Tomlin for the same position.

April most recently was the assistant head coach/special teams coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. April interviewed for the position that opened when Bob Ligashesky was let go.

The team has granted permission for Omar Khan and Lou Spanos to interview with other teams.
Khan, the team’s football and business administration coordinator, is scheduled to interview with the Seattle Seahawks for their general manager position. Khan is the team’s chief negotiator.

Spanos, a defensive assistant with the Steelers for 15 seasons, will interview with the Washington Redskins where new head coach Mike Shanahan is putting together his staff.

Spanos joined the Steelers as a scouting intern in 1994 and then moved to his current position of defensive assistant where he assists the linebackers and the defensive coaching staff with drills, game preparation and other duties.

I think I remember seeing Cowher and his jaw just screaming at him a few times.

But April is one of the better special team coaches in the league, seems like a perfect fit.
He who forgets, will be destined to remember.

I like April. I remember many times hearing announcers say something like "Odd to see such a big play given up as the Bills routinely have one of the best ST units in the league."

Seriously though - nowhere to go but up.

April is on his way to SF to interview. Too bad we didn't get it done when he was here.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.
