I would like to see Troy on the field as much as the next guy but only if he is really ready to go. I don't wanna see the guy go out and reinjure himself again. Would he help? Of course he would but I'm not willing to risk the rest of his career for a chance to get into the playoffs as a 6 seed! The level of expection should not change anyways, these guys are professionals and they should be able to get it done!!

Miami's pass O isn't anything to write home about, either. A rested, 100% ready Troy in a playoff run against Cincy, Indy, and San Diego is far preferable to me to having him back to face pedestrian QB's in the last 2, must win as ALL of them are.

According to Tomlin at the PC, Troy could play this week- it will depend on the MRI reports from Tuesday.

If he can go, I would hope only in certain situations like 3rd and 16. just to get him some game time. Then against Miami a bit more and hopefully, he'd be ready for the playoffs should all the stars and planets align correctly for the Steelers.

He hasn't played meaningful football in awhile and, while, he's a great athlete, he'd have to be rusty to a certain degree.

I'm on board with Troy for the last game IF we beat the Ravens AND the other help games either put us into a "win and in" situation or put us in a very favorable situation as far as further help goes.

Even when he comes back there is going to be a bit of rust. A rusty/healthy Troy is still going to be significantly better than Carter. One game will shake off the majority of the rust which would help with the 1st playoff game, providing we get that.

It's not only in pass defense when Troy is valuable. Imagine Tyrone Carter trying to tackle Ray Rice in the open field. (This could very easily be ugly, us trying to track down Rice.)

Imagine Tyrone Carter in coverage vs. Todd Heap.

Or Tyrone Carter having over the top help in Cover 2.

Or Tyrone Carter tying his shoes.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Troy can't dance like Carter, though.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
