Ever heard of a guy named Merril Hoge?

Something tells my I'm merely with this reply.
Stop banging your head against that wall! You'll get a concussion.
That's ok... I can still be back here posting away with no ill effects.
If you get any typing induced headaches, though, let the mods know right away. :P
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Well unlike you, message board dorks, I have played football at a high level, so I know what my body is capable of. You can normally perform fine 24 hours after a concussion, and it was pretty obvious that Ben's was pretty minor, as compared to Gay's last week.[/quote:ts6ceg0v]

Which FLAG Football League you play in???
      Steelers Draft 2015

We message board dorks don't even play flag football, because we are all fat nerds and flag football requires speed and stamina. A few of us could probably whoop some tail on expert levels of Madden though, because of our unparalleled thumb agility.

I'm not claiming to be famous, because I'm not, but I have played over 12 years of contact football as a fullback, tailback and LB, starting when I was 10. I have played with and against Robert Griffith, Tommy Vardell and a Heisman candidate in 1989. In fact my college team is playing in a big rivalry game on Saturday. I did play flag football when I was 9. Stlrs D was trying to take a shot at me, and I had to remind him that he has never played....whereas I have.

              And you'd be wrong.

Must be from the effects of all those concussions you played too soon after having received.

              He-man.

I'm not wrong. You have shown in numerous posts that you have no knowledge of the game, and you like to use the newspapers opinions as your own. You have never strapped on a helmet, and I am guessing with your sig you were probably in your high school band. It's great that you are a Steeler fan, but don't pretend like you have any real knowledge of the game, because it's obvious that you don't.

Actually it's clear by your posts that you have never strapped on a helmet. You actually got your concussions falling face first into kegs while doing keg stands. It's clear by your posts that you have never played a down of football in your life.

See tough guy, two can play at that game.

                  12 years my ass.

You can watch my Alma mater play Navy on Saturday. I played Pop Warner from 10 years old till high school where Robert Griffith was on my team, and wasn't even a starter). I played one year on JV starting at Tail back and MLB, (Monte Vista High School), where I also played against Robert Griffith, and Tommy Vardell, then started both ways on varsity first year at Free safety and Tail back, second year as conerback and tail back and senior year as MLB and Tail back. I also returned kicks and long snapped for pat's, FG's and punts. I was recruited by a handful on westcoast schools, but my old man wanted me to go to an Academy. I played one year at a prep school in Jersey to get my SAT's up and played fullback in the wish bone. Then I was a back up once I got to DIV 1, and played mostly on the meat squad showing looks to the starters for 3 years where we led the NCAA in rushing for a couple of years, and one of our half backs was up for the heisman (Mike Maywether). I left after the middle of my junior/cow year, because I hated the place and football turned into work. It wasn't fun anymore. If you are from the Pittsburgh area, you might remember a classmate of mine who went to Mt. Leb, and played QB in 86, Otto Leone. He played with me at the prep school and at the Academy.

                    So where did you play?

Re: Ben doesn't belittle Ward's sore hammy

Good for you and thank you for your service. I wasn't blessed with any size, speed or strength no matter how hard I worked at it...and I worked VERY hard at it. I played 4 years of OLB in HS and two years of safety at division III Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI.

I didn't have all the ability so many others had. I had to play smart because that was what I had. I don't have the resume you have because I did not have the physical abilities.

We had no pee wee football where I lived...so I never got that opportunity.

You were right about one thing though. I also played drums in the HS band. But I was not in anything other than band class during football season because I couldn't play and also be part of the marching band.

So can we end the "you never strapped on a helmet" foolishness now please?
