    Tomlin: Batch not done yet

Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch will have surgery on his broken left wrist tomorrow and coach Mike Tomlin will hold a roster spot open for him for the foreseeable future.

Tomlin said Batch may miss 2-4 weeks after having a metal plate inserted in his wrist. The break occurred as he fell to the ground after throwing an incomplete pass in Sunday's 27-24 loss at Kansas City.

Tomlin confirmed that starter Ben Roethlisberger had no concussion symptoms yesterday and while doctors will continue to monitor his condition, he is expected to practice this week and play Sunday night in Baltimore.

Dennis Dixon will move up to No. 2 and the Steelers will sign another quarterback, likely Tyler Palko, to the practice squad.

Tomlin also said the Steelers worked out two potential special teams players today and another is on his way to work out for them as they try to stem the tide that has been four kickoff returns for touchdowns against them in the past five games.

So Dixon will be the backup for at least 2-4 weeks, and there is no veteran backup being brought in. Wow -- the coaching staff must not have any confidence in Dixon at all. Totally wasted pick. <sarcasm>

I can't hear you. You didn't type it in ALL CAPS!!!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Tomlin was overheard outside of the press room saying, "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic QB. Charlie Batch will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."

Does this mean that the re-built Batch will be get a $5,105,000 bonus to go with his $895,000 contract?
