Re: How did you become a STEELERS fan??

There are plenty of Steelers fans in Los Angeles - I'm one of them.
If you go to a bar called Gabe's (on Sepulveda - just south of Pico, across the street from IHOP) the place is packed with Black and Gold.
Further south at a place called the Starting Gate - that bar is insane with Steelers fans.
That aside - My family worked in the Steel industry around Pittsburgh (mostly Weirton) and asking one of them to root for another team - might have been like asking them to be Communist.
I would say out of anything though - Jack Lambert was the guy who made me a Steelers fan. He was, lean, mean, angry and talented - but most of all he played with a certain loyalty for his team that you rarely see. (Hines Ward is another guy who plays with that kind of loyalty).
In all honesty I was too scared NOT to be fan of the Steelers back when he was playing.
