You know that feeling you get....

when you have watched a thousand Steelers games.....and you just cant escape that feeling that the other team is hanging around just long enough to beat you. Well today the Steelers overcame that feeling that usually is always right. Thank You D!!!!

Thank god for Directv Superfan Mobile.

I was getting that feeling you are talking about and managed to find a way to watch the last quarter on my phone, and kept cursing at my phone. But in the end, everything worked out. Whew! I will take this going into the bye...get healthy!

I remember being nervous, as usual, in the fourth quarter, and looking up at the other scores and thinking, EVERY FRIGGEN GAME IS A 30 POINT LEAD. Can we please have one of those games? Thank you.

That being said, as close as just about every Steelers game has been over the past two seasons, maybe more . . . I know it is taking years off of our lives, but do you know of a fanbase who has experienced as much shear unabashed joy after games are won as much as we have???

Seems like fans of the Colts/Pats* etc probably have this ho hum attitude during their lopsided wins, but w get that joy after a thrilling victory at least seven or eight times a year, and we have a super bowl to boot.

The close games dont bother me.....it's that feeling that even though you may be winning you are not capitalizing on all the breaks and are playing just good enough to get beat!!!!

the vikings held the ball for nearly 37 minutes today, they had the ball for 13+ more minuts than us, jeez..nearly 400 yds of offense, but we made the plays when it mattered most, i hope we dont think that this can happen all the time...keisel had a game today..

If your regular season is chock full of lopsided wins, then you aren't used to having to come through in the clutch in a tight game where everything is not going your way. Dealing with a bunch of adversity on the road to SBXLIII helped us when the Cardinals took the lead late in that game. We'd been there before.

On the other hand, when the Patriots won 18 games in a row, a majority of them quite convincingly, they were not prepared for what they would face in a close game in the Super Bowl against the Giants (I think that they expected to blow them out like they did most of their opponents that year and were surprised when New York kept sticking around and making it a fight).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I agree Ruthless. The Steelers have been there, done that, in a close game. That would be exactly why Peyton Manning only has one ring. He folds when good teams come to town.

This is the kind of game we need to build from. 60 minutes. Down to the wire. Gaining and losing momentum. But working hard and finding a way to win in the end.

Not our best, but we found a way to win.

All I have to say about this game is that my wife said my obituary will read, "had a heart attack while watching his beloved Steelers."

Allegedly, I was yelling too much.

when it was third and 18 i had that feeling....they are going to pick it up...sure enough they did, and even though it was ruled incomplete i saw it live and said that is a catch, of course the dumb@$$ announcers never pick up on that stuff, until the red flag comes up, "what, is he going to challenge that it is a catch"......than i had that feeling that, we are going to find a way to win this...

all i know is right after woodley's return as skippy is lining up for the kickoff - i turned to my wife and said 'let's just hope we don't give it right back'. every team allows a return for a TD on occasion. is it me or do the steelers have a tendency to allow those returns right after a momentum swing to our side?

It has been the Steelers experience with adversity that has helped them win the last 2 SB's. It's one of the reasons I KNOW the Seahawks melted down in the 05 game.
