nice fumble Mendy ... must of heard willie breathing on the sideline.
Shout out to LVG!!
Young player mistake leaving his feet. To his credit he was going for extra yards. needs to think before he does that but he was doing it for the right reasons.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"
Mendenhall carries the ball very carelessly. Did you see him on a swing pass earlier? The ball was 2 ft away from his body during the run. Tomlin needs to address this or he will end up with more fumbilitis.
yes i agree should have been 20 for 138 and 2 fumbles...heh
i agree he will be a great back just a lil sarcasm about the dump Parker stuff. I dont think he earned the feature back role yet.
2 reg season fumbles and 4 pre season fumbles in limited carries over his career is a major concern. Get him a mentor and correct his mistakes then give him the reigns.
Mendy was trying too hard on that play. He will learn as he gets more experience.
Mendy needs to get more carries though.
Willie got one carry and you could see how tentative he looked.

On the replay, it looked like Mendy was holding the ball high and tight like you're supposed to, but his mistake was leaving his feet to fight for more yards.
Gotta realize the game situation. Right after a big play, in the red zone w/a chance to put it away, you have to be smart w/the ball.
For all intents and purposes, it's his rookie year. Glad we got the win, now Tomlin can use it as a teaching tool for the next two weeks.
overall, i tthink Mendy played well. He average 6.9 a carry against a stout defense. He is getting criticized for one bad play. He left his feet, bad decision, and the ball was punched out. I don't bury Mendenhall for this. On the fumble last week, I felt he was down and it was a bad call. Believe it or not A Peterson acquired a reputation for laying the ball on the ground in his rookie season, and he is considered the best running back in the league, now.
Fumbles happen and I don't lose confidence in Mendenhall for this week's perfromance.

I think the point is one guy (Parker) is skewered for it and another (Mendy) isn't.

Mendy is being skewered for it. Not true, but if you're suggesting that Parker should replace Mendy because of this fumble, I completely disagree.

Not sure where you got that idea from.
Read the OP...it's a shot at someone who gives Mendy a pass but comes after Parker every chance he gets.
