    WEEK 7 Vegas Odds

OK, the Steelers jumped up 1.5 points to be favored this week over Minnesota.
I'm baffled by this ... they started out 4.5 point favorites and today jumped to 6 (MGM Grand Line).

Personally I would see this game: PIT favored by 3 or 3.5!! I'm not Vegas expert, but people must be putting some big money on Pittsburgh this week to make it jump this high, this quick. THOUGHTS???

HERE ARE THE LINES THIS WEEK...any thoughts???

    WEEK 7 ODDS

    KANSAS CITY 4½ San Diego
    Indianapolis 13 ST LOUIS
    CINCINNATI 1 Chicago
    Green Bay 8½ CLEVELAND
    PITTSBURGH 6 Minnesota
    New England 14½ TAMPA BAY
    HOUSTON 3 San Francisco
    N.Y. Jets 6½ OAKLAND
    CAROLINA 7 Buffalo
    New Orleans 6½ MIAMI
    DALLAS 4 Atlanta
    N.Y. GIANTS 7 Arizona
    Philadelphia 7 WASHINGTON

IF i'm betting, I like Philly and Oakland.
    Anyone else have any input???
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...

THey must know something we do not, like Winfield out for sure and AP also out........dare to dream.

However, I would really like to see their best players on the field when we crush them.

I think they automatically give the home team 3- 3.5 points to begin with.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Vegas' only thought about the Steeler game is to establish the line to get even action on both sides. In this case, I have to believe that at 4.5 too much money was being bet on the Steelers, so they moved it to 6 to try and get action on the Vikes. This is a really strange move because a lot of bettors will bet both sides big and hope for a 5 point Steeler win and they win both sides of the bet; otherwise, they'll win one side and lose the other and break even basically.

I heard Brandon Lang on the radio this AM here in SD picking games, and he said most of it has to do with Winfield being out, Roethlisberger being hot and able to get the ball down field, and that the Vikes should really be 3-3 if not for a lucky pass against AZ and a missed kick against the Ravens, and some other game they should have lost. Factor that the home team automatically get 3 points and he said we should win by more than a TD. I don't like the guy, I wouldn't subscribe to his service, but I like his thinking.

Pittsburgh is the best team in the league.

We're the only team that's in the top 5 on offense and defense.

                  We're taking it to teams.

We're just not getting the points on the board that reflect how much we're dominating.

damn i cant believe the line is 6 now. i put 20 bucks on the vikes thursday night and the line was 5.5.. everyone is picking the steelers to win, which is a little suprising to me. the vikes are a very good team. ben will have another huge game and it will be a high scoring game. but if the steelers do win it will be very close

                        Yeah, we're dominating.

That's why our 4th quarter points given up vs. scored are the highest in the league.

That's why we got beat by Chicago and Cincinnati.

That's why we had trouble putting away San Diego and Detroit.

That's why all of our wins have come against teams that have losing records.

Heck, if we didn't have to outscore our opponents to win, we'd be undefeated.

We easily have the POTENTIAL to be the best team in the NFL this season. I just don't see how you can say we're there yet.

Hopefully, we'll make a statement vs. the Vikings that tells us we're well on our way.
