Get Rid of "First Down. Yeah Buddy. Rollin' Like a Big Shot"

For those of you at the last game, what that the dumbest first down graphic ever?

I don't mind that they use the guy pulling in the barge with the huge chain with the "Move the Chains" graphic (since it is sponsored by Consol Energy, I don't mind that it looks like their commercials).

But "Yeah Buddy...Rollin' Like a Big Shot" reeks of a bunch of old guys in a board room trying to come up a slogan that they think the kids would think is cool.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I thought that was the stupidest thing I've seen at a public venue too!

However, the dog reminded me of a T-shirt I saw in Pittsburgh this weekend.

      It read:

      "Hide your Beagle
      Vick's an Eagle!"

Y'know, on second thought, that may be a very popular saying these
days with the under 30 crowd and we are just OLD!

There were a couple of guys in my section that said the same thing, RB. It was pretty lame.

The graphic should say first down, then show Hines or Tone signaling 1st down.

I do like this graphic, though:

Only problem with this one is people should be smart enough to shut up when we are on offense.

Glad I didn't see the "Rollin' like a big shot". I liked the guy pulling the barge but I don't think I would like that one.

Yeah, but there are so many drunken idiots at games who don't know when to shut up. Literally thousands of guys who would give Jeff Reed a run for his money.

They should grow up! Every one of them should lose their respective jobs...immediately!
