    Logan's Contract

Should we try to extend it before the start of the season?

After the kick returns I have to ask "what" Logan?

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Knee jerk reaction? Let's wait to see what the guy does over the coarse of the season before we get to excited. Punt and kickoff returners seem to have short lived success in the NFL.

He signed a 2 year deal. If he shows in the regular season (and post-season!) what he has shown in the pre-season, perhaps they can start to talk after this season, since 2010 will be his last year under the current contract. Remember, though, that Logan is a 28 year old rookie. He would be 30 at the start of his next contract.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Thanks, I didn't realize we got him for 2 years.

Your point is especially noteworthy when you look at what Snyder has done to the Redskins organization for the past couple of years. Breaking the bank to acquire over-priced talents that have never yielded dividends or longevity with the club. We are blessed that our organization stick to their guns, do things old school while scouring other untapped resources to acquire phenoms.
