    Steeler Fans-Sons or Daughters

I know there are a few posters with young children or newborns. I have three young girls. Don't be discourged if your kids aren't passionate about the Steelers like yourself. Just keep talking Steelers football, force them to watch some games, make them wear Steelers apparal on gameday even if its for 15min. Eventually the light will go on, and you might get an email at work from your 12yr daughter or son like this:

Heyyyy dad only 8 more days til the season starts steelers vs titans!!!!!!!!!! count down begins NOW!!!!!
    luv rebecca~

Awesome e-mail from your kid...likely brought tears to a proud Dad's eye...but tell her that the countdown does not begin NOW. It began Aaron Smith days ago, right Ozey74?

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

      That is awesome!!!

I just took my 3-1/2 year old armpit jr. to his first game in Pittsburgh (Cardinals game). It was incredible. He totally got into it. Waving his towel and screaming "Hear we go Steelers, Here we go". One of the best experiences of my life.

Then last night Mrs. armpit tells me that 'pit jr. told her he is going to grow up and become a "football man" for the Steelers so he can get us tickets to every game. Then he said, "Cause Ben probably gets his mamma and daddy tickets to the games."

Life is good, my friends. Life is good!!

I took my oldest last yr to the Chargers game, she had a great time.

I joke around cause 65,000 fans are screaming at the top of thier lungs, you can't hear a thing, than I hear this little tiny voice screaming and it's my daughter. It was too funny.

Myself, Mrs. Pappy and our two junior Pappys (boys) are going to be at the December 6th game for sure and possibly one in November. These games will be their first; I'm also probably going to end up buying a friends PSLs and season tickets in a couple years. Me and the Mrs. will need something to do when I retire. First this then for the home games. :P

My wife asked me to take her to training camp this year! That was very cool! My daughter was very jealous that she couldn't go. But her consolation prize was some very cool Steeler gear.

Something must be in the water this year, cuz, like, I don't have
any kids, but for some really odd reason my husband is actually
choosing to watch reruns of preseason games on NFLN even when
              I know there's a huntin'/fishin' or cookin' show he'd usually much
              rather watch...

Yes, that's right, he watches Food Network and I watch NFL Network,
but don't knock it...he makes some killer game day food!

Took my 6 year old (then 5) to the Bills PS game here in Toronto last year. Tickets were a fortune - upper deck endzone were $70.00 (about $63.00 USD) apiece for not facing scoreboard, $175 apiece (about $160.00) facing scoreboard.

He was shouting at the top of his lungs which was really funny as two female Bills fans in front of us kept giving us dirty looks. It was great fun, but he burnt out early after a long day of camp.

Now we are making plans for him to get a "Steelers bedroom". I have shown him all of the autographed stuff I've bought over the years including an autographed Hines helmet. He is psyched.

I am the father of Snatch98 on this board. I have seen all Six Super Bowls but son only heard me talk about those teams. He went away to Kent State and came back a hardened fan of the Black N Gold. I also spent time in Akron working during the 79 Super Bowl putting up with Stain's fans. I went to work the Day after our 79 win in an open cubicle office and stood on top of my desk with a Steeler Jersey under a snap buttom shirt. They all got the single finger salute with the jersey blazin. I know he wore his Steeler garb to class and his Car rocked a 12" dia Steeler logo on the back window.
He has rocked a few jersey's in his time and recently had a Gay jersey custom made.
It doesn't hurt that he is 6"4" 240 and dares anyone to say something. I think he turned out alright Bleedin the Black n Gold.

Black and Gold blood, passed down from one generation to the next.

It doesn't surprise me in the least that Snatch98 was fathered by a Pit Bull.

RK, I hope to be where you're at in a few years. Every year my daughter and I have taken a picture on opening day with our Steeler gear. This Thursday will be our fourth pic and looking forward to '09 rendition. This past Halloween when her other friends were dressed up as ballerinas, princesses, and fairies, my daughter wanted to be this:

                          I was extremely proud!!!!

Pitt bull, your story is awesome! Just like Ruthless and his dad, I hope to one day be going to games my adult daughter. You guys give me hope.

Great Halloween outfit. When my girls were that young they were wearing Powerpuff custums.

My girls might be bigger fans than I am, yesterday I told them the Steelers cut Carey Davis and my wife ask who is he? At the same time they all said, the worst player on the team. My wife walked away shaking her head about how I brainwashed them, I prefer to call it indoctrination.
