Seahawk fans just won't let it go!

So I was on vacation down on the Oregon coast last weekend and met some people at the hot tub where we were staying. One guy was a Charger fan, the rest Seahawk fans. Of course when I mentioned that I bleed the Black & Gold, they laid into me about the Steelers "robbing" the Hawks' of their SB. I am so sick and tired of those babies...they will never let it go. There aren't a lot of people on this board that live in the Northwest, so you guys haven't had to listen to this crap for almost 4 years now! God it pisses me off. Most of the bs cam from the guy that was the Charger fan. When I was getting ready to leave, he told me that the Steelers just aren't that good and he just doesn't see how they could have won 2 SB's in the last 4 years. He thinks that the Chargers have way more talent...to which I responded, "too bad all that talent got your ass whipped last year in the playoffs by the Steelers though!" I just don't get how stupid some football "fans" are. Seahawk fans will never let XL go...unless they actually win one. Just ranting here...those of you that don't live out west are lucky, cuz' no one outside of the NW gives a crap about the Seahawks. But to me...Washington State is STEELER COUNTRY!! Thanks for listening!

Re: Seahawk fans just won't let it go!

It's not as if the Seahawks lost that Super Bowl on last second obviously blown call like the Hulkuli call at the end of that Chargers-Broncos game last year. They lost by ELEVEN @#$%ING POINTS!!! And the calls that they complain about were not blown calls. Darrell Jackson did push off in the end zone! Clark Haggans was held by their RT! The only call that I thought was unfair was the call against Hasselbeck on Ike Taylor's interception return, but that only gave us an extra 10 or 15 yards on the return. Yikes!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

When you have only one chance in your lifetime to be a champ it probably is hard to let go. We are spoiled because we are in the running almost every year. The SeaHags won't see another Super Bowl for at least 10 years.

Those were some of the same old points that I made as well. They are also hung up on the TD call with Ben's sneak as well. The biggest point I made to them was that the Seahawks did not make any plays, or stop the big one's that made the difference in the game. If that pos Jerramy Stevens caught half of the passes that he dropped, the game could have been different. I told them that GOOD teams like the STEELERS make plays when they need to. Look at what the Steelers overcame in XLIII...a safety late in the game and a holding call on their first play of the game winning drive. Instead of going into a shell, they overcame. They are CHAMPIONS!! Suck on that, Hawk fan!

Hey man...I hear ya...I live in the black heart of the whiny little babies (well close to it anyway in Issaquah)...

I have gotten to the point where I love it now...I do everything in my power to rub it in...

I say to them hey let me pull out the DVD and show you frame by frame how you really don't know what you are talking about...

Just this weeked a guy who saw my Steeler shirt at breakfast at a B'n'B asked me if I was still basking in our recent Super Bowl win.

I cut him off at the pass and said not only am I basking in SB43 I am still relishing SB40...and then I said before he could utter a word, "go ahead tell me how you guys were robbed..."

What made this better is his kid was in a football league and doing Jamboree that weekend ( I was D-coordinator for a team last year so I knew the drill)...I then said you know I coached and the first thing I tell my kids is that if you lose because of the offiicials then you didn't play your best, because you never let an official's call lose it for you.

He sensed right then and there that I was right and that it was a coachable moment for his son...cause he looked at him and said, "isn't that what we tell you guys as well?"

Trap sprung...shut him up right then and there

Anyway, I deck the front of our house with a Steeler banner, flag, black and gold lights...the neighbors hate it. It's not really outlandish or anything, just showed my pride even when we played the hawks. They don't want to make me angry...I will purchase every damned peice of Steeler fare and make my yeard a veritable Steeler embassy here in the Pac Northwest.

Where were all of these die-hard Seahawks fans at on Super Bowl Sunday in Detroit? They obviously didn't care about the game then so why do they have an opinion about it in 2009?

Hypothetically, if the push-off against Jackson were never called, they would have had a TD instead of a FG on that drive. Instead of Seattle scoring 10 points in the Super Bowl, they would have scored 14.

Also, hypothetically, if it was ruled that the ball did not break the plane on Ben's run, we would have had a FG instead of a TD on that drive. Instead of us scoring 21 points in the Super Bowl, we would have only scored 17.

Even if both of those extremely hypothetical scenarios that the whiny Seahawk fans complain about actually played out, Seattle would have still lost that Super Bowl, 17-14.

Classic! Good to know I'm not alone! Actually, I have many friends that are Steeler fans as well. I wore a Polamalu jersey and my wife a Ward jersey out the Friday night before XLIII...got the typical bs that night too...but I just rubbed it in their face!!. The people that REALLY know football admit that the Squawks LOST that game.

Buddy, there are A LOT more things to get your panties in a bunch about, then seabag fans whining about the SB. We got Scoreboard; in fact, we got Scoreboard over the entire league. So who the hell cares what some 'bag fans say.

My brother's team is the 'bags. He doesn't whine about it anymore; partly cuz, what's the point--we won, they lost. And that's that.

                  Don't get so agitated.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Please allow me to flog away on this dead and desiccated horse! What about the breaks for the Seahawks? Ward drops a touch down pass as often as Jimmie Hoffa’s body is recovered, and the Steelers had driven to the Seattle six yard line, and were in position to put the game on ice, before Roethlisberger handed them a “birthday gift” interception. Incidentally, it wasn’t Pittsburgh’s fault that the Seahawk’s kicker couldn’t kick and their tight end couldn’t catch. In fact, it was obvious that Seattle simply wasn’t focused on anything but planning their post game bitchin and crying routine.

                            Definition of push, Merriam Webster

1 a : to press against with force in order to drive or impel b : to move or endeavor to move away or ahead by steady pressure without striking

2 a to push away from the table: the discernable act associated with the cessation of indulgent behavior at the dining table. Example: Mike Holmgrem is currently unable to push way from any type of food, edible or not! And, he is a corpulent bawl baby.

I live in Olympia , Wa. The worst is the local radio, they speak of it as matter of fact, a true river of ignorance which flows from the top down. I contend that had CBS or FOX done the broadcast the game would be seen in a much diffrent light. Yes Simms, Nance, Aikmen and Buck can be douchbags but they would NEVER call into question the legitimacy of the game like Madden did. Madden fueled a national perception while the Seabags media did their part. Then you top that off with the REAL SCUMBAG in all this, Mikey "I didn't know we had to play the striped shirts" Homonuts, who desparatley needed someone to lend him a watch during that game. Not to mention the exemplarary display of sportsmanship he displayed by not shaking Bill's hand.

Seattle is a tard town, no one really cares about anything except them, they don't care that that's football they just want their super bowl and that's THAT D@MMIT!!!

The Seattle city slogan should be "It's all about the I", It's to bad. I moved out here in '94 and always felt sad for these fans. Now I got nothin for ya man. F'em they are pathetic.
