    Re: Same Steelers?

Are we talking about the same 4th round draft pick?

Seriously, after last years pity full performance of our punters, it is looking like a great selection if he keeps booming those kicks through out the season.

Logan is a Lock on the team... stapleton on IR, the flexibilty of our corners, maybe bye bye to Carter and Mundy.

I sure hope he can catch punts consistently and hold on to the football running and not fumble. Otherwise, I see some possible turnovers b/c he is always trying to take it to the house and not taking care of the rock.

Mewelde Moore will be relegated to his third down contributions and the receivers have looked very good this pre-season.

Sweed, while still dropping some balls has a lot tough catches in traffic this pre-season. It seems that after every game the following words were written: "Limas Sweed made two catches in traffic and had a drop on a catchable, but not easy to catch pass. For now, until he gets more comfortable in the offense I like having a guy that go up and fight for a football and win.

The offensive line now has a year under their belt and will be better this year than last; still not dominant, but, they will open holes and protect Ben better than they did last year. Ben will still be sacked 30 or more times this year, it's his style, he likes it and it works.

The Steeler offense may or may not see a shorter field, I'm not sold on Logan full time as the return man. I hope he's successful, but, I'd rather he not make the 53 man squad and be replaced with an RB that can actually take snaps in a game if necessary.

Ben will be Ben, he'll be better this year than last and that will be hard to do. The Bills game was a glimpse of what we can expect, IMHO; efficient, accurate and sandlot all wrapped into one very, very good quarterback.

The Steeler offense will be in the top 10 this year overall and provide an already outstanding defense a lot of leads to protect.

I think the offense will be better this season. One of several reasons is I don't believe they will be facing the gauntlet of top 10 defenses they faced last season.

I think Sweed will be fine.

Hopefully, the Oline and the rest of the players on offense can play with a little more consistency this season.

Logan looks like he will be a good return man for the team. He appears to be better than anyone since El. He appears to be faster than El was. It looks as though Logan may take a WR's job and not a RB's.

I don't believe it will be difficult to be better then Ben was last season. I don't think he played up to the level that he is capable of playing for 60 minutes last season. He can play better and with more consistency throughout games.

There has been no indication that this will be a problem for him. Burnett had 2 fumbles on punt returns during the preseason, not Logan.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Yup, I doubt he gets snaps in the regular season. We have other WRs that can run a reverse and block. The Steelers are going to expose a pretty good every down football player to the PS for Logan. I would be hard pressed to do it as a GM and coach, but that's why I have a day job.

I'll happily be wrong on this one, if Logan can produce these results against the starters beginning next Thursday; with the way injuries occur in the NFL the more every down players on the roster the better, IMO. I just don't see him being more of a threat in the offense than Sweed and/or McDonald.

I doubt he'd be used much at all on offense either (maybe a handful of quick bubble screens or reverses all season...or perhaps just as a decoy on offense here and there that a defense has to plan for), but he is absolutely 100% worthy of making the damn team! I will not weep for the 54th guy that gets left off the roster so that we can have a true weapon in the return game that can give us a huge advantage in field position over the past few seasons.

and this is what I don't like about BA. Why NOT use him more. The guy is obviously dangerous in the open field. I don't care that Sweed is a 2nd rounder or MacDonald is a veteran or Mendy is a 1st rounder. Logan has shown he has game changing ability more than those 3. They need to design some plays to get this guy the ball during games and not just as a returner. Now if he doesn't produce doing other things then stop but in my opinion not to try is just stupid.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                  but Go Steelers!!!

You don't like BA because of someone he hasn't had a chance to utilize yet?? We don't know that Logan won't be utilized in every series.
