I just checked Wexell's twitter. Ben is limping off the field without help. Nobody at practice seems overly concerned.

Hopefully, his report is accurate, and this is nothing serious.

Drama Queen! Seriously though, sit him the rest of the preseason and get ready for September 10th.

        This better not be serious!!

Roethlisberger takes a hit in practice, limps off
            Thursday, August 20, 2009
            Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with a right foot or ankle injury today in the final practice of training camp.

Tackle Max Starks fell into him during a pass in team drills 20 minutes before the end of practice.

Trainers attended to Roethlisberger as practice continued.

They eventually wrapped his ankle in ice and he watched the rest of practice sitting on a water cooler with a towel draped over his head.

Twenty minutes after the ice was placed on his right ankle, it was removed by trainer John Norwig. Roethlisberger pulled his right shoe back on and limped to the sideline. There, team president Art Rooney asked him how it was.

Roethlisberger replied, with a slight smile, "Oh, it just feels great. It feels like a car ran over it."

A minute later, someone else asked him how he was. Roethlisberger said, "Oh, I'll be all right."

Roethlisberger finished watching the rest of practice sitting on a Gatorade bucket on the sideline. While there was no immediate word on the extent of his injury, it appeared not to be serious.

If it were, in past such instances with players, Steelers medical staff would place the player on a cart for immediate medical treatment and/or tests.

Stupid friend of mine almost made me wreck my car on the way home. He called and said he just heard it on local radio in columbus that they were reporting it was torn. I hung up on him and ran inside to get the latest info. I'm still shaking I was so pi$sed.

              Oh well, get well Ben.

Ben said after practice that he's going to have an MRI tonight. Time to talk your neighbors off the nearest bridge!

It's his ankle. He was really hobbling off of the field.

If its not ripped, he'll prob take it easy in practice and be back in the saddle for a few snaps by next weekend (9 days).

                        Re: Roethlisburger hurt today

You can't blame Starks because it was a James Harrison bull-rush that pushed him back into Ben's ankle. There is not an offensive tackle alive that can handle a James Harrison bull-rush.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Multiple reports confirm that Big Ben's injury isn't serious
Posted by Mike Florio on August 20, 2009 6:53 PM ET

As Steelers fans continue to hold their breaths (and perhaps other bodily functions) for word as to whether quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's Achilles' tendon injury is serious, multiple reports are confirming the initial indication that Roethlisberger escaped a season-ending injury.

Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, coach Mike Tomlin was asked whether Roethlisberger will be OK. His answer? "Yup."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports via Twitter that Roethlisberger is "fine."

Said team spokesman Dave Lockett, per the Associated Press: "Someone stepped on [Roethlisberger's] foot, and we don't have any updates other than that."

That someone was left tackle Max Starks, who seemed to be unwilling to acknowledge the former franchise tag recipient got blasted into the franchise quarterback's leg.

"James Harrison was bull rushing ... I'm not sure I knocked him into [Roethlisberger] or what happened behind me. I was busy trying to block the defensive MVP," Starks said. "He got tripped up and fell down."

The good news is that Roethlisberger, a well-documented exaggerator of injuries, isn't suggesting that amputation is in his immediate future. "Oh, it just feels great," he told team president Art Rooney. "It feels like a car ran over it."
Save that Sh!t for the opposing teams' QBs James, hell!

If it was Bruce Davis that bull-rushed Starks in Roethlisberger, then I would be cursing out Starks too. But it was Harrison.
