A sort of stock market game I have in mind..gauging interest

When I was in college I used to participate in the experiments that Econ grads ran. It was a blast -- you would go into this room and they would have some sort of game set up that you would play with other participants. It was all behavioral stuff and kinda like gambling. They would pay you ten dollars for the hour and seed you another ten to play with.

Anyway, there was one game that I always thought would be cool to translate to a football pool type deal, so i'd like to gauge interest on playing it here this season.

    The rules are simple -

    1. Everybody is seeded 10000 points.
    2. Every week, each team that plays is auctioned off.
    3. Bidding is closed at 9:00 PM the night before the first game of the week is played.
    4. Bids may not be withdrawn.
    4. If you buy a team for a week and they win you get 1000 points (but your purchase price is not returned). If your team ties you get 500 points.
    5. If you buy a team for a week (meaning you won the auction) you may sell them at any time before their game ends. So if you want to lock in profits or try to sell scrap you are permitted as long as there is another player willing to take the coupon off your hands.
    6. If you run out of points you are out of the game.
    7. You don't have to buy a team in a given week and you can buy multiple teams if you wish.
    8. Playoff wins pay off 2000, 4000, 6000 and 8000 (respectively by round).
    9. And in case you haven't figured it out, the person with the most points at the end of the season wins.

EDIT: So if you are interested in this let me know.
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

sounds cool. I'd definitely play...It will replace fantasy football for me this year. I'm sick of being too distracted by stats to really follow games.

I quit fantasy football two years ago and LOVED last season just watching. Helps I won my league and went out a winner.

          Haha same here!

After playing to undefeated regular seasons the two previous years and going down in the playoffs when teams star players people at the end of the season, I finally pulled out the big victory and hung 'em up.
