I've been asking myself this question since this Big Ben fiasco began. This guy is a high powered lawyer. He's hired by a casino worker. Does she really have the cash to retain a lawyer like Dunlap? Is Dunlap doing this pro bono? If in fact he is doing this gig for pay then he only gets paid if he wins. Otherwise, there's no cash to be found.
Of course, there could be other motivating factors. The timing of this case (a year later and right before training camp) seems to be a perfect time to try to cause a distraction to the defending Superbowl Champions team chemistry.
It remains to be seen what evidence has yet to come forth. But, so far it's looking more and more like Ben's in the clear. If Dunlap can't create a moderately compelling case for the plaintiff then what gives?
I'd like to know if Dunlap is a serious fan of the NFL, and if so, what team does he root for?
I know this may seem far fetched, but I just don't get why Dunlap would take the case. Also, he made a strange statement after the news of the case was made public. He said that he was surprised at all the publicity it was getting. Yeah, right! I really don't think this came as any surprise.
